Thanks for posting this, as I was looking through this huge thread trying to find out the latest on Evgeni. :)

My God, after seeing the aforementioned videos, I'm in awe of him once again. I had a few reservations about the music, the choreography, but not anymore. The last half in particular was quite poignant.

To look this good this early in the season, at his age, with all the injuries he has suffered, not to mention the time off, is simply unbelieveable. But if anybody could do it, it would be Evgeni Plushenko. Nobody compares to him, one only need look at today's male skaters to see that.

I await his return to competitive ice with baited breath, only a few more months to go...three months to the day to be exact.

I'll be making my 1000th post to this thread (and I can't believe it...)

Seniorita and plushyta can envy me to death: I have plush in my supermarket.

I promised you just color for the hair, not and job around it - here the right hair dresser fro you

... Plushy is now already in Germany - Mittenwald :agree:

hey hi :)
why the plushy thread is not taken care of , Ant???:p
you broke my heart, i need dee's bubblegum to cheer up now!Strawberry flavor please;)

okkey i did a big update today!
Little plushy in pinzolo, interview to italian official site between his trainings..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnD723whd54

resume: he is not sure about his sp music yet, he has a problem with ankle (he had an ugly fall as far as i know but yesterday in germany was jumping combos so he must be fine now), he changes choreo all the time cause he wants something new...he feels a bit old (that was joke i guess);)
question from journalist(and wow..there is a plushy fan more than me and plushyta out there:P)
'many people think that now you come back there is nothing for the rest, and skaters will be afraid of you...'
I so love his answer and his so what style, he seemed to not liking it.
'great .... they think this about me, but me I will just try to do my best..
and in his own words a message to his fans..'I m back!'

Pieces from his Lp, he showed it in Gala of pinzolo...thanx to ada  for the video and plushyta for the link
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?3wz2zmnw3o0

to save you from some comments:p, he stops, the program is empty in some parts, he plays with audience, the music is samples and needs fixing desperately, marton arrived in pinzolo to change his music cuts, this is an early version he skated last weekend in pinzolo at the Gala of Mishin's camp. He landed his jumps though
Also arthur's program in gala
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhPDLHUyco8
and there must be somewhere also Lutai's.
I also saw chan's program, he skates non stop which is amazing even if he fell a bit, but if i consider plush's program unfinished concerning music etc, i must think also that this version of phantom is not finished yet so I guess i cant judge much, it wont be fair for chan. I was amazed how much he does between his elements but the program does not pay much justice to him.
And janet, you gave a new vision to plushy fans, up until now they would have been happy with plushy come back no matter his placement and medal or not, now the word is spread and their dream is to see plushyta dye your hair and you with a la paris hilton colour hair.

bye all, see ya :)

It may seem wholly unrelated, but Fedor A., Number 1 Azerbaijani figure skater, will be at Skate Detroit next week. We might need another 1000+ posts thread here.

The Fedor Fanatics have already achieved this feat on FSU a few months ago.

Welcome, Mir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post often, post long!

Some news. A friend of mine is in Germany and has watched these last couple of days Plushenko's training.
When she arrived three days ago, Plush had not been training because the day before he's had a very hard fall and his leg was injured because of it. But he did go to his evening training and by the time it was over, he was doing 3ax and 3a-3t-2t all around. They are focusing a lot on re doing his footwork sections for both his SP and FS.
Yesterday he was doing quads and his known combo ;) and apparently it did seem to be a first in a long while because he was screaming in joy as well as Mishin and David and everyone that was there that were also clapping around being happy. Having said that, the next day he skipped training again because his leg is hurting again.

In non-ice news, it does seem Plush and Mishin are quite wonderful people becaue my friend was so nervous to meet them and both were very very gracious about it, Mishin making her laugh and Plush making sure their pic together was good to the point of re taking it if it was necesary.

In some non-Plush news, Fumie is in Germany in that camp as well with Mishin.

Alright! :) Thanks, Ximena, for the latest info.

I only have one piece of advice for Evgeni (& all people really), taken from Quincy Jones:

What did Jones think killed Jackson?

Jones told "Details": " . . . look, I've been in the hands of Nobel doctors for the last five years, in Stockholm, at the Karolinska hospital, which you can't even pay to get in. I've learned so much about the human mind and the body, and the doctors talk all the time about how you become your thoughts....With one thought it starts, and if you sit there and just stay hung up on one negative thought, you will become that thought. I know that Lisa Marie Presley said that Michael always thought he was going to die like Elvis. You sit and think about that stuff, it'll happen to you. If you start thinking about darkness instead of light, or fear instead of love, you'll get in trouble. I really believe that."

Surround yourself with positivity, Evgeni, think only of success!

Remember, as the old saying goes "figure skating is like golf. It's 95% mental. If you're strong mentally, you'll be strong on the ice. The rest is talent & hard work."

Thank you Ximena for info:) His combo hmm?:biggrin:Plushy is a little miracle.
I havent met papa Mishin but Plushy is very generous with his fans, I have the best memories from when I met him with my friends!Mishin looks very funny in interviews and really wise!!He rocks!

I remember the interview of Plush some months ago that he was sure Lambiel is returning judging by his training when they toured together, and he insisted that Lambiel will come back for Olys, and I remember stephan fans forum really upset with Plush for that, like Plush insinuated he was a liar ...hmmm...well he had not called him a liar and was just saying his speculation, and I decided I will trust more Plushy because he must know more about skating than us and he doesnt speak in vain and I ll pay atention to his interviews, cause Lambiel is coming back!!!:rock:From his official:
http://www.stephanelambiel.ch/upload/media/lambiel_pr_090725_en.pdf:bow:

I cant take so much skating joy together, this is the ultimate dream!!!:clap:Plushy and Stephan on ice again!
Maybe we change name of thread now???:biggrin:Plushenko and Lambiel will honour us with...?

So Evgeni wasn`t wrong after all concerning Lambiel... Maybe Stephane just wanted a break, or his injury got better suddenly. :biggrin:I`m looking forward to see him competing again, but on the other hand it means one more rival... By the way: the vids from Pinzolo truly stunned me. Evgeni`s skating looks sooo nice compared to the stuff he did during the last few years (no, senorita, Saturday is not my complaining day:p) Somehow the training vids remind me of the ARTE documentation five years ago. Amazing!

I have no complaint about Plush returning to competitive skating. I do believe he is doing it to appease Mischin and hopefully, get 3 places for Russia in the following Worlds. I would prefer it if he was doing it for himself.

I will be happy to see if he gets most of his old style and tech back, but I do not believe there will be anything different about his programs at best.

Will he skate Euros? so I can get an idea if he can win over Brian, Yannick, and Tomas, all with Quads and all being continuously competing?

All the returnees are a wait and see. Some we will see in GPs. Others in Euros, and AFAIK, no one in 4CC.

What gives you the impression that he's doing it for Mishin and not himself Joe? I haven't seen anything that gave me that impression as it seems to me that he can stand to make a lot more money by doing shows and tv programmes than by competing at the Olympics. It seemed to me that he genuinely wants to fight for that gold medal. Also he's the only one of the returners who has been brutally honest about the goal being gold.

I think that he has definitely put Euros ni his schedule - i don't know if it's on his website but a short time ago there was a list of competitions at which he intended to compete and Europeans was definitly on that list.

My impression has been since he said it a few years ago that he was not going to skate competitively anymore, and with posts by many fans saying that Mischin wants him back for LA Worlds to get the 3 places for 2010.

They are good friends and I am sure Plush is indebted to Mischin and was just not ready for LA Worlds but it got him going for the Olys.

Looking forward to see if any changes are made in Plush's skating regarding Tech and Performance. I would like that to happen, otherwise, it will just be a repeat of the 2006 Olys.

Will he skate Euros? ...
What I realized - he was just boring without adrenaline, which causes competition. :p ,,, I guess that is enough reason for most men, especially for him, who was competed from childhood. :)
Of course, there is also important and the question of prestige, and permanent marking his name in the history of skating ...

It is probably enough reasons to return?

I would rather say that Mishin enjoys working with Evgeni's, because all the other students did not satisfy its ambitions ;)

Yes well that what Mishin does, he wasn't really training with Mishin last few years, Mishin will say that he will show up traing for a week and then leave again, also it has helped that he has lot a TON of weight.

He said that he was done after Olys, that while he has said he may have come back, he really wasn't thinking about it, and then Worlds 2007 (was it?) happened and he decided he wanted to give it a try but you could tell he was not really sure. Then lately he has said that Yana has been the one who told him to give it another try while his mum is against him coming back. Mishin has always been open to Plushenko but Evgeni had an interview where one kind of understand that Mishin never either "retire" or "come back", until Plushenko told him he wanted to.
For what I've seen from trainings, itnerviews, etc, Yana is very very happy and the one who keeps pushing him to try it and now you can tell because when Yana does her events, that Plush usually was with her, when she is asked where he is, she always things like "no time for shows, he has to train!"

From Evgeni itself, he has said that he actually wanted to come back when he started missing it, he said that when he though about retiring it wa sbecause it has been too long, he was injured, so it was like giving up too much and always ending up worse than before (health wise) but he has time to heal and to miss it, which is why now he wants it.

Euros in on the plans, as it has been pointed out. In general Plushenko has always had a personal respect for Euros.

And in a little off side note, as for who Mishin prefers, according to my friend that saw him in Germany the past days, Mishin pays a lot of attention to him and to little Liza, and not so much to the rest.

My friend who was in the training camp in Germany has started writing her report of it. Now what you have to understand before reading it, is that she's a big fan of him that has never seen skating live (I mean world-elite type) and who really up to a couple of months ago never though he would see Plushenko live, ever.
So her report has no tech, but it's quite heartwarming to read, it's about Plush and Mishin. She will post Day 2 soon.
