See Ant, just by posting your little pooches you are now the most popular guy on here and that's even without the pelvic thrusts.

Oh wait ..... I think Mathman can top you in that area.

Yesterday in Novogorsk Plushenko skated his short program. Here's some video from russian TV
http://www.1tv.ru/news/sport/150536
He said that if he will be 1st or 2nd at Russian Nationals he will go to Euros and Olympics and will not go to Worlds if his result at OG will be good.
And another video...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE1FeAlEbHI
Evgeni said how happy he was when he first landed quad and 4-3 after 3 years. Mishin said that Plushenko's spins are better and more difficult now then it was 3 years ago. Then Sergey Voronov said that he likes Evgeni's new program. And in Vancouver Plushenko is going to skate another SP that no one have seen before.
Today Plushenko will show his FS

if it wasnt for plushy there ... I prefer larger dogs, I m afraid of really small dogs, they can be evil

And in Vancouver Plushenko is going to skate another SP that no one have seen before.

WHAT??? Oh no, they will ditch chopin? And he will skate a new program first time in Olys?
:sheesh: Why they dont change the Tango instead? I m trying so hard to like it :o (i like the footworks a lot though..)

thanx for vids :)

Who is this writer? Of all four skaters that he has mentioned, I can only say that Buttle and Chan could be in the category of having balanced programs, with intricate transitons, and great style.

The writer, like many figure skating fans, doesn't remember the Plushenko before 2006. What can I say?
I think - journalist (have his name under the link for text) ;)
... and probably is the American (or Canadian), when not mentioned the Japanese and other European skaters

... what would we say: "From his mouth, to God's ears"

where are you Plushyta?
Resting a bit of "work" - now you can replace me :p
A special welcome cocktail, "a la Plushy" for your back among us .... poor drained terrestrial people

No, commentator is not specifically mentioned Vancouver, than only to prepare "brand new" SP :)

If he like Tango - let it skate him. It is important that he feels "comfortable" in the music. ;) (I would like his skating, and when he would skate without music )
Of course, they will add more elements of choreography to the Olympics. :)
As for Lambiel's Tango ... there are various types of Tango - romantic, love, "streets", aggressive .... let Lambiel skate his, and Plushy his version

... and to add something more... it's nice to have a good choreography - but it does not contest in which competing choreographers :p ... For me, the most important is the quality and skills of skating - and that is enough to leave an "impression" on me

Thanks on links and translation :agree:

.. here you can download this video: :)

P.S. note the reaction of Tarasova, while Evgeni skate - how she constraints fists
I still love her.... despite "everything" :p

25.08.2009.

Interview president of the Russian Skating Federation, Piseev:

"... We had an agreement that Zhenya will perfome at the first stage of the Russian Cup in Samara. It will be held from 15 to 19 September. However, in terms of this tournament coincides with the open presentation of programs members of Russian team, which will be held 19 - 20 September in the arena «Katok.ru», on the Rublevo-Uspensky highway. Therefore, in the near future will be determined, where will be the second coming of Plushenko - Samara or Rublovka (Moscow)."

It seems that the Russian Skating Federation intends to take money from tickets for the show.... using skaters? :p

-----------------------------------

Plushy "OFF Ice" :p ... 22 & 23 august held a football tournament in St. Petersburg (politicians, athletes, artists, and journalists). On two matches, Plushy scored 11 goals!    ... and became the best scorer of the tournament. Now going to put together his own team.

Evgeni (translation): "It was a nice weather during matches, they were some kind of training. After Olympics, I am considered to establish my football team with athletes, amateurs in football"...

Thanks, Lucky Star!

He is very candid, and had his entire season plan layed out. Some people hate his arrogant, cocky style. ...But I think this is probably a part of his charm. At least I think so.

His sit spin does look a lot better than three years ago. I guess Joe won't be criticizing it as much as before.:)

I have no problem dumping the so called "Chopin" SP music. So if he wants to change the SP, it's OK with me.

Even though there is not much Plushenko news, it is actually a lot more than any other top skaters. Thanks to his enthusiastic fans.:clap:

Thanks for the links!

It is amazing how Plushenko still looks the same, still skates the same after four years. I she working with Tatianna now or is she just part of the cheering squad? On the music, I just don't feel that he can skate to the complex subtilties and emotions of Choplin.

click here and also read the guidelines (link is in my siggy) avatars come when you hit 100 posts (this does not mean go and post spam to get to 100)

Awwww how cute - I am friends witha couple who have a pug who is exactly the same colouring as that! He's only 8 months old and is completely mad he still runs around as if he's tiny knocking thigns flying as he goes!

if it wasnt for plushy there ... I prefer larger dogs, I m afraid of really small dogs, they can be evil

The pictures of Plushy's dogs are hilarious! I also have friends with a miniature yorkshire terrier and she is the most loving loveable dog I know! But i do agree with you - little dogs can be quite evil. Personally if I had the time to walk them properly I'd have boxers because I think they're beautiful dogs.

And to actually try to come back on topic for the end . I have to say i was very surprised about the possible new SP for the Olympics - isn't that what he did in 2002? Also what is the point in putting in all the hard work with one SP and practice it for months only to change it?

Though saying that most of Plush's SPs looked the same to me :p
Sorry seniorita!

Ant

If he like Tango - let it skate him.
ooookey I let him..:cool:but if he asks I ll tell him the truth! :pAnd i prefer the sp to the Lp anyday!Actually I hate this Tango, maybe i ll like it in competitions:rolleye:
It is amazing how Plushenko still looks the same, still skates the same after four years.
you know this can have two sides, I know people expect him to change his style, but skating in almost his old level after four years, extra weight and knee surgeries is really something..
I always found something royal in his skating (maybe jenny this is what you mean ?)off the ice, he seems anything but arrogant and cocky i think.
A special welcome cocktail, "a la Plushy" for your back among us
Thank you plushyta :) what plush is doing inside the drink, serving as a lime???i didnt see this coming:laugh:
Though saying that most of Plush's SPs looked the same to me
r e a l l y???can you name them all in 30 seconds?
I think I need new tactics from now on :p

he had changed his Lp for Olys 2002 because judges didnt like cirque du soleil:disapp:

And Ant you have more commons with Plushy than just the mullet..you may walk out plushy's dog, he has a white boxer!

nooo way I argue with you, we had not fought over your posts about Plushy, we will fight now over a mullet ??? you can cut the mullet and we wont have any reason to fight anyway:p

But to forgive you now, you have homework:biggrin:

I saw Chopin program from Korea, but from a different agle, a great close video (lots of voices, lol) and I have two questions, first, does he turn only in one direction in straight line or i see wrong? and second, his pancake (no comment please, he has to do something) is it low enough at least or the whole sit combo would be cancelled?
And in his last sit spin, he sat down and had speed

this is video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58QLkNceMWY

I wonder if Plushenko knows how much enjoyment he provides to his fans!

I saw him live once, in about 2003, at a sort of cheesefest. But he did a quad anyway. Right then I became an admirer. If a guy is going to do quads for some unimportant competition, without holding back, he deserves his spot at the top of the game.

new plushy video of his test skate of sp

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEqZ6qnZTm4

Plushy skates, tarasova speaks, plushy speaks, mishin speaks, Noooo idea what they say! But they sound good. :p

Well, let's try to translate ))) My english is not very good but I'll try and hope you will understand me...
First Mishin said that it's too early to say that Plushenko is back, he will say it after Evgeni's first competition and now he is just training. Then Plushenko speaks about his injuries and problems with his legs, it's not so easy for him to skate again.
Tarasova said that he wants to win again because he did quad, triple axel, lutz in his SP and it shows how much he cares.
Piseev said he thinks that it's possible for Plushenko to be on top again.

P.S. Seems like almost all Russian skaters are in Novogorsk now, I noticed Kawaguchi/Smirnov, Mukhortova/Trankov, Lutai, Voronov, Alena Leonova and even little Liza Tuktamysheva ))

I wonder if Plushenko knows how much enjoyment he provides to his fans!

i know how much enjoyment he provides to Ant:biggrin:
he must know at least from his live appearances, cause 2-3 times i have been to a show of his i got out nearly deaf, and I mean it, and also he gets unusual presents, and many many of them:p

Test skate again of yesterday on youtube (too many videos and I start losing it, i haven't seen the old ones, and I m trying since morning to watch the yuna's show-but my chef interrupts me:cool:)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a83eEVGiW2M

enough for this week, i got plushyflu:rolleye:

thank you Lucky Star for translation!:)

http://sport.baltinfo.ru/news/Evgenii-Plyuschenko-vklyuchen-v-sostav-sbornoi-Rossii-101746/

it says that Lutai, Graziev, Dobrin etc also skated in test skate and also KLIMKIN! Or I was lost in translation!:confused:Klimkin is back?
