Plushenko will honour us with his presence in 2010!

I know why Lambiel and Dai grab our heart, and I can get why Plushenko might not work to some, but with all the objectivity I can have, brian has emotional skating and plushenko not? I m watching a wrong channel?
No, you are on right channel :laugh:

I do not even think about him, as Plushy opponent :p

Plushy must think about Evan alot. He mentions him in every interview with a negative remark.

Is Plushy getting nervous? He should worry more about his spins and less about Evan.

As I said: I DONT THINK :p

P.S. Plushy was never nervous :cool:

Glad to see GS is up & running again!:thumbsup: I checked in this AM & also at lunchtime, no can do, but finally 12 hrs. later here I am & GS is back. Lol, I totally understand your comments Medusa. :)

Seniorita, I adore the little South Park characters you do, your latest ones had me LOL.:laugh: But seriously the only ones I recognized off the bat were Evgeni, Johnny, and Daisuke. By the way, am I the only one that actually likes Takahashi's hair? I loved everything about him the first time I set eyes on him at NHK, but especially his hair! Which is why I was pleased to learn just recently that his mother is a hairstylist. Aha, that's why...:cool: (ps: Apolo Anton Ohno's father is also a hairstylist).

That said, Evgeni's golden mullet takes the cake ~ unique, one-of-a-kind, recognized worldwide, the BEST!:rock: ~ made for the champion he is. No one can compare to the power of the golden mullet.:bow:

:love::love::love::love:GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EVGENI!!!!:love::love::love::love:

Didn't Plushy admit he was a bit nervous before he took the ice at RostelCup?

What is wrong with that? He was away from competitions for three years and was skating at home. He has worked very hard to return and isn't it normal for a skater to hope he can still perform at a high level?

These are a collection of the funniest pictures I can think of.. :laugh::laugh::laugh:
But please oh pretty please, don't bring up the last one! I'm trying so hard to erase that from my memory along with Yagudin's bananas .. :rofl::rofl:

iu

No, you arei on right chonnel :laugh:
Posters that have liked Plush from the getgo, and imo, do not see changes in other skaters, and stick with the chosen one.

From the days of Yagudin untill the recent Russian GP, Plushenko has never been an emotional performer. His style has been the same through the years. This year he did add Lambiel's fingers to his PCS.

Brian, on the other hand, has been working with TAT and his performance has grown in stature since.

Plushyto??? :rofl::rofl::rofl:
Joesitz, you are on dangerous territory here.. :laugh: Although I obviously agree with you about growth on Brian's artistic side, I feel it's impossible to get that argument through to most ppl.
I myself was convinced finally after seeing this

Hey schiele, I m quite harmless:)

I see changes in other skaters, I dont think over 10 years anyone's skating has been the same. That includes Plushenko. That Evgeni has no emotional skating it is a personal view, i cant say anything about it. For me there is the obvious, emotions and moves a la gladiator and not the obvious. What same style has to do with emotional skating, i didnt get that. Sure thing is that I m not the only one who gets moved by Plushy;)
How long did Brian worked with Tarasova by the way?
I can see Joubert's improvement over the years, my objection was that Plushenko has no emotions when he skates contrary to Brian.

I am not arguing against the latter. I think I made it pretty clear that although Yags was my favorite, I was very fond of Plushy and didn't mind when he won over Yags. In fact I think I am one of the few, who was happy to see both of them on the podium in whatever order.. :thumbsup:
I think Plushy's skating got stiff only lately, but he was always capable of moving me emotionally.. Btw, I am sure if my Mum saw this, she'd be very sore cos Plushy is her absolute favourite. :laugh: I also don't think Brian is a wooden jump machine and he moves or excites me a lot too (on the ice so no I do not mean with his looks) but these two are both difficult arguments with some ppl.
Btw, since i am very bored at work here, I am continuing avatar tradition with this. :laugh:

I had too much reading tonight, not much of inspiration.
Who is left to be southparked?:p
I know he's retired, but Yags should be Southparked. Also, looking to other disciplines, John Kerr. And his kilt :biggrin:.

Plushyto??? :rofl::rofl::rofl:

That EX was a genius move IMO, it really showed people a very different side of Brian's skating. I don't find him as musical as some but he does relate well to music and can be expressive; also, he picks things that play to his strengths.

To me, it's obvious Brian has improved greatly when it comes to presentation (also spins, another tough sell to some people). If you take his Untouchables LP, it was fun and suited him (also, great costume) but it's nowhere near as good as the Metalica one, or Ancient Lands.

Everyone has emotions, though I do feel Plushenko is more controlled in how he displays them than some. I also believe Plushenko has unfortunately regressed and become more of a technician with time, his earlier programs were considerably more interesting than his CoP ones. I think even some of his fans can agree with this.

Brian worked with Tarasova on his 2004-5 programs, possibly on some other things too. He's also worked with Kurt Browning, who did a wonderful job with Brian, much more than TaT, I think. I feel Brian's collaboration with DenStavs looks very promising and hope he can get it right when it counts.

I recall at the time Brian was working with Tarasova someone who saw them training said that basically Tarasova was carrynig on how she did with Alexei, literally, she would teach Alexei the programme and Brian would have to copy Alexei. Obviously there is only one Alexei and trying to make Brian into a carbon copy of his idol was not the best idea for him. If she had spent as much time trying to bring on Brian's presentation skills as she did with Alexei, rather than just trying to get Brian to literally copy Alexei their collaboration might have worked out better.

I agree that Brian's work with Kurt was some of his best...and the work with Platov the worst!

Agree totally.. But unfortunately dissing Platov also discredits his Safri Duo SP, which I think is a great gift/entertainment to regular audiences (and me :biggrin:).
Sorry Plushy fans, this turned into a Brian thread again.. :laugh:

Oh i m sorry Ant, I deleted, I deleted..one:) now i have 99% full inbox, hurry for the one spot!;)
I will delete more, I m lazy a little:o

Plushenko's programs were more interesting in 6.0 era indeed and he was trying different stuff, but he had only 3 in the new system, one Lp and two Sp, and right at the beginning of COP so I dont know what he would have created, he might had experimented more. ( I m not counting the comeback programs) Nevertheless tosca is my fav sp.

I had seen yag schiele :clap:I just waited to have some free time, cause Yag is a legend athlete and belongs on the dream podium, so since I have the one opportunity to make him friends with plushy i made this
