Lol, alex, I know what you mean. It was a bit scary for me as well this afternoon to find out who had won, after reading through the long MEN FS thread.

I was thinking about Zhenya's new costume & how it reminds me of a million stars, and then it brought to mind Buddy Holly's last words to Ritchie Valens before they boarded that fateful flight ~ the sky belongs to the stars, right!

Nadine I love your enthusiasm , lol! But actually only support i gave to Plushy was a whistle in my mouth and a closed throat since the Sp. I dont think i gave any more fan support than the whole stadium, lol, i wished! I m thinking of lucky charm though, only nationals i didnt go and he messed it a little. In the winners interview, i think Plushy believes that all russian flags were just from russian fans, hey we were so many people not russian!

But this was a great night, like a party, with dancing and laughing, I dont know when I whistlled more, in Plushy program or in Lambiel marks. Maybe the second cause it was unexpected more! Bravo Stephan, what a great program for the last skate!!!I wanted to go down and dance with him!!In fernandez i was almost fell in the front row from waving and in contesti I was jumping like a monkey!In joubert, ponsero and alban was cheering next to the french club, great people!If only Joub could sell this program and not looking worried!Ponsero quad, a beauty. I thought it was a triple, so simple.

Tomas had great support from audience who clapped also in the falls of skaters,great great audience! Kvdp was so cuuuteeee, Lindeman didnt fire the arena but i was so happy to see him and I just loved Kristofer, please go to Olys. Brezina should start selling his talent and not lookign down, great program!

Well Plush...Plush was another world, he went out like a tsar. Olympic sized vibes to all directions! He looks at people eyes when he skates, he is the male medusa, I got petrified. I admire the way he behaves to competitors, I will come back on that another time. And I love his new costume. His body movements looked like a cat..and all the clappin, i could not hear the music!I have not seen videos of anyone, I want to stay to the feelling i got!!!

Did you see Brezina - Plush almost collision in warmup at Plush last set up for quad??and poor brezina ... i thought he wouldnt live to say the story. He became white. Plush just gave him the Mishin look and looked the clock, and michal hugged the boards for the rest of thetime

When i saw evgeni giving his hand to Lambiel ,and not just the typical hand but a warm gesture and then a hug I felt like butterflies and flowers all over, this was my best emotion of all night, better than the results and medals.

Plushy won! Oh my…. I can’t belive it!
6th european title wow what a amazing comeback!!
so happy here, i’ m his fan since Euros in 1998 (i’m also 27 yo)
through these years i was watching fs competitions and loved his performances, such a good memories.... all those feelings, exciment, stress, and finally pure joy becouse he almost always skated soooo goood! Great jumps, charisma, huge confidence on ice , what a personality with amazing mental abilities! What a sportsman!!
I was really enjoy watching him at Euros, it’s propably (i ‘m sure of it) last season to see him compete.. and as i m fan of him it’s a great feeling, he just bring back whole my exciment 
i think he is beatable as never before, and he seems to skate diffrent than in the past but i really enjoy his skating and it will be great to see him 3rd time at biggest fs competition –Olys , i ‘m looking forward it.. if only he will stay healthly,, ahhh

p.s i loved a hug between plushy and stephane

Frankly, I am very happy about it. He has better skating skills, a much better posture, more flair and better programs than Voronov. His toe-jumps are iffy, but at least he tends to land them from time to time.

And hadn't it been for the massive overscore Voronov got at Russian Nationals in the SP, Borudulin would have been second anyway.

Congrats to Plushenko, well done!! And also Lambiel, another one of my favourites. I look forward to the Olympics. Its going to be exciting, however I'm realistic about Plushenko's chances to medal. He needs to be absolutely clean to have a shot at the podium. However, if skaters like Lambiel, Chan and Takahashi is also clean, then it's going to be tough for Plushenko to medal, which is why I wish he would commit himself to work really hard to improve his choreography and transitions and to make his programmes more PC competitive. I mean, if he did that, no one would stand a chance and it's frustrating because I know he's capable of interesting choreography. He's done programmes like that in the past, like "Nijinskij", "Story of an Artist" for example. He may never be lyrical as some of the other skaters but IMHO he would do extremely well with something quirky, like his "Story of an Artist" choreography. Plushenko is never going to be a classic Monet but he'd be a brilliant avant-garde, abstract expressionist. But, he won't work on it. Either way, it's going to be a tough fight and I'm really looking forward to it.

Well since I missed out on the Ladies Final (lol, which I'm not bummed about now, after learning of the results), my mind is on possibly acquiring Olympic Mens Final tickets.

This time I cannot afford to wait until the day before the event, lol, but rather I must acquire them at least a few days before the competition. Will have to update my passport, as I haven't updated it since I came back from the Peace Corps.

I want to say that my perception of Jouby skating has changed and I m really happy I can say that to B. In Teb i had a bad seat and he had a bad skate.
Now on the Sp i was totally into it, as all audience, and I loved it, he is fast, strong, nice posture, he sells this program and his jumps are high and impressive. His spins, I told you the other day, people should stop remembering his spins once upon a time and take a real look, they are great.

Plushy, he is Plushy of course- i like his flexibility in the body and right about everything else , but Joub was really good and it is something i would not imagine saying a year ago. I think he has come stronger from injury, in practice he was landing most stuff.

I did not like his Lp much while I liked the bombastic music, but probably because I was waiting for PLushy and he was the rival (adrenaline in competition is something else, lol) but also he didnt sell it. It is obvious it is new for him. And then Plush came out for Tango and I dropped dead, I have no memory of it. I saw it on youtube and thought, I was there???

I saw Joubert several times and today he was in the Mall before gala and we talked to him and he is very friendly and polite. And very calm. We wished him good luck.
Also in the practice gala he looked sad and people cheered him, I know i have many alternative dream podiums with Plush standar on top of it but I want Joub to have a medal now in OLympics.
I didnt see stephan any day off ice and i saw all the others by accident everyday...arrg! I wanted to say good luck too. I have no words for his skate. Especially Lp! And he was so good eachother with plushy and i loved that! And plushy stayed in reception today for an hour with many people (women...hmmm)jumping like monkeys around him and it was fun, he talked joked, I think he lost it at some point. at the end he said he is very happy and asked to come all to Vancouver cause he needs it, awwww! He took loads of presents and wishes for Vancouver and Joubert was also there with his fans. Nice ambiance!

and for cherry, this glass door at hotels that goes round got stuck for a couple of minutes when i was passing with my friend and inside was entering also joub in front of us and we all got trapped in 2 meters square in silent mode, I started giggling cause i thought i need to say that to schiele Also why dont these happen with your fav skaters?? By the way, he is not as wide built as it looks on tv. And Shabalin is hot, I mean wow. And too tall. He likes sushi

On a completely separate note - your reports have absolutely hands down been the best ones i've read! I've laughed so much at your observations and felt like i've lived some of those moments with you! I think you should get press credientials to your next competition because your reports are extremely valuable and necessary to us!!

I don't think i'm going to get to a live skating event before 2012 Europeans but if you go I want to sit next to you so we can talk about the skating!!

a) I told you so (that Joubert doesn't look very muscular and broad in real life)
