Or maybe he has put this answer on autopilot, he has been asked so many times the last 15 months that it has become ridiculous, he has said in one interview 'please dont ask me this all the time', everytime I see a journalist's question as innovating as this, I want to say "You ' re fired".
The buttons and the fonts appear more clear and round after the change, they look more cute, can I say I love the defaults of the new forum?

Yes, I am sick and tired of the same old same old questions as well.. That's why I found joubert's latest interview in russian (that I posted on the thread) more refreshing, the questions were at least interesting in some parts.

I removed mine after my disappointment in judging and overall quality in Euros. I decided better to go bare than jinx anything, besides my enthusiasm was gone. :disapp:where did the avatars go?
Then I got into K's head to get him/her remove his/hers as well. I'm evil that way.

I read this morning an laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge interview of Plush after Euros, and there was some interesting stuff apart from rivals questions, maybe i put it here later. Since I have russian course at uni this year I tried for first time to read it without translator. I gave up on 3rd sentence. This language is very interesting to me but so difficult makes me wanna shoot myself. I have made a progress though, usually up to now I was reading just the headline without translation, 3 sentences is a big step

Believe me, 3 sentences is a huge step for a beginner. Although I claim to be upper intermediate, it took me 3 hours to finish reading the Joubert interview in Russian!

Well it is hopeless, it is like 6 months of courses and I need to get back to alphabet from time to time, i always forget the letters that dont look like greek. I m used to translation now, I know all the tricks, Plush is either translated Jack or if the original says Zenya, it is translated 'my wife'confused, combo jumps are translated with something with goat and 4 horses. It is fun, not complaining.

I know the frustration believe me.. I took 2 years of courses in uni only to be able to pass beginners level. I gave up after graduating but after 6 years, I regained my enthusiasm after a rejuvenated admiration for Yagudin so I took private courses for 6 months, then I quit the courses cos everyone else was too lazy to study and pushing the general level down. Then I studied like crazy on my own for 1.5 years. After all this hard work I can understand 50% of what I'm hearing, 70-80% of what I'm reading and can speak with 30-40% capacity max. Oh wait, I was planning to inspire you to continue studying Russian in the end, I don't think I did that, I might have done quite the contrary..
If the interview is from the same as Jouby's, I'll try to trace it down myself.. Will be good excersize in the afternoon.

In videos it is easier, I can more or less understand what they are talking about especially if it is fs related and i think this is mostly because of the influence of webtv for 2-3 years I m watching the competitions from.

I wish I had seen more Russian tv or videos, it certainly would've helped my understanding by ear. But we have so much TRT3 coverage, I didn't really need to..

It was a very interesting interview indeed.
I liked the most his comment about Yags, that he sees him as one of the best rivals he had on the ice. He called him very stable and in control, even if he made any mistake in the warm up, he was certain to come on the ice and skate perfectly. Although he must have been political while answering it, I'm sure he actually wants more consistent rivals as he mentions missing the adrenaline quite a lot.
It was also interesting to read how much the sportsmen in Russia are suffering in terms of financial means. I would've thoguht given the interest and succes in figure skating, they would at least be more supported by the Fed financially.:scowl:

yes i was always thinking that if Plush was in another continent he would have much MUCH more endorsments concidering his medal decoration or success. So far in europe it seems only him and lambiel are getting some kind of private sponsors, and not that big.
As far as I know in Russia you dont pay for ice time though, but thats it. Most icerinks have no heating system or zambonis, unless a medalist emerges from there and then they update it. For the rest I had no clue, I would expect gov to bow in front of fs athletes.

In an interview in 2003, he said that put all his medals on a toy elephant ... but I think that now he still prefers the tiger - especially white, Siberian ...
P.S. bring and some "device", with which you can make a big noise - rattle, trumpet ... to override the domestic audience
