I don't know if it is interesting for you, because in fact in Poland we haven't many good figure skaters...
I'm really afraid about this but I hope so it'll change in the nearest future...
There are medalists:
Ladies
1. Anna Zawada
(16 years old, I have no info about her achievments ) - Her winning was a big surprise
2. Maria Mordarska - Her treiner is Anna Rechnio (5 th and 6 th place at Worlds 1999, 2000)
3. Aleksnadra ¯elichowska - last season she was injured, in the past she didn't have impressive results
Men
1. Maciej Ku¶ - I quote one of treiner: "If he trains more, he can be a European champion..."
2. Krzysztof Komosa
3. £ukasz Daros - He's trained by Anna Rechnio too.
Pairs
1. Dorota Zagórska & Mariusz Siudek - They are still alone...and the best Polish skaters
Dance
1. Aleksandra Kauc, Micha³ Zych (Most perspective competitors, this season they were 4th at Finlandia Trophy, and 10th at Gallina Blanca, 4 years ago Aleksandra with former partner was 17 th at Worlds)
2. Agnieszka Dulej, S³awomir Janicki (Last season they made debut at Europeans and placed 21, Was it good beginning? I don't know)
3. Maria Biñczyk, Micha³ Tomaszewski (2003 Junior Polish Champions, they tearned up in summer 2002)
Best Polish dance skaters Sylwia Nowak & Sebastian Kolasiñski
ended their amateur careers (They want to spend more time with their family - both have babies). They said their results are satisfy to them, but of course they would like to improve yourself and maybe come back in the future.
I don't think so is it possible. They had a lot of potential (in 1996 they won gold at Junior Worlds), but it never was something what could make them stars.
Best wishes to Dorota & Mariusz! I hope they'll (especially Dorota) leave their nerves outsise rinks, get medal at Europeans and fight at Worlds...
