Practice reports?

Lots of rinks in Cleveland. I suspect she's practicing at another. If official was in Strongsville, maybe over at Winterhurst? JW

They also said that Ashley was a no show at practice.

hmmm. Maybe she is withdrawing? Glad that Caroline is doing well. All she needs to do is hold onto second. She dosen't need to win this year, just get to worlds.

I don't remember the details, but there was some nonsense with Caroline's score last year. Let's hope everything is fair this year.

Evan might need the quad if he is to beat Jeremy. If Jeremy skates a clean quad less program I think he might win, we have seen what Jeremy can do. Evan skates third in the final group so he will have to make a decision whether to put the quad in or not without knowing what Jeremy will do. It may be a risky move for Evan but I think he will attempt it. Can't wait for the LP.

If they are both clean, Jeremy will win. Also, don't forget that Jeremy is capable of landing quad. I believe he landed one at GP Final. Since he is skating last, he can use it as his discretion. I say that Evan will go for it. He really has nothing to lose. Even if he falls he will still make the world team.

But would it be worth it for Evan to try the quad with the chance it might get downgraded (or would they overlook that for him?)? If it got downgraded that would do more harm than good.

IMO, as long as Jeremy keeps his cool and skates like he did at the GPF, pigs will continue to fly and he'll be the new men's champion lol.

Which is exactly the reason why Evan has to try the quad, win or lose.

If Abbott landed a quad in the GP Final, then it was in practice because he didn't even attempt it in the SP or LP competition. He has completed 3 clean, gorgeous quad toes during his career so far in ISU competition (at 2008 4CC LP, 2008 Worlds SP, and 2008 Worlds LP). Yes, I believe Jeremy only needs to go clean with the technical content he had at the GPF to win Nationals over Evan. I really hope he does it!

I am a fan of good Quads and I would love to see Abbott do one. He could really set himself apart from all the other competitors - he is a Jeff Buttle with a Quad. There are enough jocks with Quads, and there are loads of lyrical / musical / artistic / expressive skaters without it.

The ones he landed last year were really good.
