Would anyone have tips on practicing difficult turns such as rockers/counters/loops (the figures kind) off-ice?
We'll have limited ice time (maybe 1 hour/week if lucky) for the next month or so, but I can't afford off-ice figure skates at the moment. I can do off-ice jumps or spin positions without problems, but things like footwork/skating skills don't seem to translate well to dry land. The only idea I can think of is hopping/pivoting around on one foot while trying to imagine doing the turn...
