My predictions and reasonings. (please remember they might be a touch tongue in cheek)

Men:
1. Joubert: It's France, it's Joubert...I think he could just stand there for four minutes and win.
2. Tomas Verner: I don't have a reason for this except I like him.
3. Patrick Chan: I don't believe that SA was a fluke.

Ladies:
1. Mao Asada: She might muck up the short but she'll nail the long and the gold
2. Kimmie Meissner: I hope she wins but it's against Mao and that's never easy
3. Sara Meir: Because I like her and honestly I don't know who some of the rest of these people even are!

Pair:
1. Zhang Squared: They beat P/T at Chinese nats (Yes I watched them, is anyone shocked?) and since P/T are having some issues with SBS jumps I think they'll win.
2. Pang/Tong: See above
3. Maria MUKHORTOVA / Maxim TRANKOV: They're due and I've been saying they were the next big Russian pair. Now come on kids and prove me right!

Dance:
1. Isabelle DELOBEL / Olivier SCHOENFELDER: Honestly do I need to explain?
2. Jana KHOKHLOVA / Sergei NOVITSKI: I'm not sure why everyone things they're so great but maybe they'll grow on me.
3. Anna CAPPELLINI / Luca LANOTTE: Don't ask me why but I have a feeling.

I don't know exactly.

"My sweet Baboo" is kind of a baby-talk way of calling someone your boyfriend. The only other time I have heard it is in the comic strip Peanuts, where Charlie Brown's sister likes the little boy next door. :)

Sally loves Linus... Linus isn't quite that crazy for her..

"I AM NOT YOUR SWEET BABOO!"
"He is, but he isn't, but he is."

2. Tomas Verner
3. Patrick Chan

1. Pang/Tong
2. Zhang/Zhang
3. Mukhortova/Trankov

Men:
1-Joubert
2-Verner
3-Bradley

Ladies:
1-Meissner
2-Asada
3-Dan Fang

Agree with the above. I always like Dan Fang, so hope to see her in the podium. I love Mao, but I don't mind Kimmie winning a gold here. That may jolt Mao to fix her flutz.

I don't see Mira Leung on the podium, or even close to it. The competition here is tougher than it was at Skate America, and the skaters have had more time to prepare.

GP scores from earlier events for the TEB competitors:
177.66 Asada
163.23 Meissner
150.06 Wagner
145.69 Glebova
139.14 Leung

Then there's Meier, who last season scored 169.01 at SA, 159.17 at CoR, 170.28 at the GPF, 171.28 at Euros and 160.80 at Worlds. Meier's worst score beats Leung's by 20 points!

The locals must be hoping for a great Meissner vs. Asada duel. Performance-wise, it's anyone's game. However, on paper, the latter should wipe the former off the map here. (Personally, I'm siding with Kimmie.)

Here here!! I vote for Kimmie, Mao and Leung... Mainly because I simply want to see this young lady do well... Mao and Kimmie are virtual locks on the podium but it would be fun to see Kimmie pull off the victory.

For the men... My darling Baboo... and then all the rest of them...

I'd be pleasantly surprised if Kimmie beat Mao, but it would still be a pretty big surprise. Kimmie and Mao could both get dinged for UR and edge: Mao for her flutz and Kimmie for her lip (but Mao's flutz is MUCH worse than Kimmie's lip).

I don't see Mira Leung beating either Meier or Wagner. The best she could hope for is to beat Glebova for 5th.

I know, that is why I said it would be amazing. It would be just a shock and completely unbelievable result.

I absolutely adore Davis and White, but I have a strong suspicion that they're going to be beaten by Caron and Jost.....I sure hope not though!
