Big deception for French Team .....

So 20 couples left out of 31 in dance.

From men there'll be 28 out of 33.

Then how many after SP?

Plushenko skating his preliminary skate soon… Will he make it?

Here are the results after 2 groups of men:

I have a question. Why does Slavik HAYRAPETYAN who is currently 7th does not qualify and Jason THOMPSON who is 8th qualify? THanks :)

Plushenko 157.52

A twitter report said he landed a shaky 4T, 3A-2T, 3A, 3L, 3Lz-2T, 3Lz, 2S-2A SEQ and 2A. Oh, and some of his spins probably recieved level 1 or 2.
But still, this a phenomenal skate considering his injuries. If he skates clean, he might win this which I though will be impossible after seeing his programs at RN.
Congrats to him!

congratulations to Slavik Hayrapetyan for qualify, he is only 15 according to the ISU bio, so he is the youngest competitor in the complete men field!

Nice to see the couple from Azerbaijan leading the way in the Ice Dance qualification. With a score like that they should be in the Top 10. Disappointing for the French couple and also taught the Turks would have been higher.

Plushenko was an easy winner of the mens, seems like a lot of effort to eliminate 4 men, would it not have been easier to let everyone through to the short and let the Top 20 go to the free?

Do scores from the preliminary round count for PB's?

YAY, Cieplucha is third. I so wish he will be in the top 5 (I dream of podium, but I am realist)

Can someone who is more knowledgeable than me about this area explain to me how the qualifying round works? Why do some people not need to skate in it?

Any video?
Only fan's. Seems like he was just practicing here, for fun. But still he is far from his best shape. He is skating on injections and his stamina is probably not that great. Anyway, we'll see his "not just practicing" stuff a couple of days later. There might be some changes in jumps' layout I guess and the spins will be "spinner", at least for level 3. My speculations only.

Polina Korobeynikova went clean! I hope she skates just as well in the competition. And I was crying they left Polina Shelepen home.
She scored 109.73, underscored in PCS which is a shame since she is a lovely skater. Maybe her PCS go up in the actual competition. 62 for TES is amazing considering last season she didn't have a 3Lz or a consistent 3F. Now she landed a 3F-3T and a 3Lz. Good girl. She might medal!
