Local hotels are apparently already being booked out  and the lottery for tickets is expected to be as fierce as always; I will pray for a livestream!

WOW!!! This is great news indeed!!! Yuzuru's new show so long awaited, and in Spring, like he sort of made us expect. But only two days for now? Tickets will be sooo difficult to get!
But anyway, great great news!!!   :nana::nana::nana::nana::jump3::jump3::jump3::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum::rock::rock::rock:
Waiting for more details now, of course!!!

So apparently the new show will be held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Miyagi's TV station khb. What a wonderful idea to offer the public a chance to re-live some of those masterpieces!! I bet Yuzu will be happy to go back to some of them, too. Hope to see Nova, Haku, Danny-boy, Aqua, Goliath, so many wonderful "entities" to re-visit... And as it is Yuzuru, I am sure he will bring in some new ones to the show as well. Awesome, can't wait. And hoping for an international livestream again!!!

Megalovania. Pretty please Megalovania 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Here's the show's announcement on Yuzuru's official Instagram.
The fun part is that if you double click on the graphics on the original IG post, you get a heart from Yuzu 🥰

And here's the official promotional video by TV Asahi:

And here's the translation of Yuzuru's message by Marika:
Hello, I’m Hanyu Yuzuru. In April 2026, Realive an ICE STORY project, will be held in Miyagi .This is a one-time only live performance where I will once again carve onto the ice the programs created until now, as living beings, with my current body (in my current physical condition). I am very, very much looking forward to sharing the same time with you all in Miyagi. I hope to see you at the venue in April."

A reminder: soon after the First Skate show in Sendai last summer Yuzu went into what he called "a maintenance period" when he was to undergo a long-overdue surgery of his ankle while leaving the full spotlight to his younger colleagues competing at the Olympics (he would usually hold his ice story tour in December, January and February but not this year). Hence the remark on his "current body", or current physical condition.

Oh sorry, it was today's message! I mistakenly thought it was yesterday's; so the translation was already there...

Many of us register at the lottery, without knowing if they'll be able to secure accommodation in Sendai after the show, in the case they might be able to get tickets; this is why in the minutes following the announcement, many fans booked a room, often on a non-refundable basis. This fan gives this precious piece of advice, that some modest but decent hotels cannot be booked online, and still have available rooms for the days of the shows:

Beware though. One such hotel I knew in Paris has been definitely closed for months and still appears on the maps. And another hotel in a provincial town I held for acquired that it would have rooms in spite of not being able to call them, in fact they were undergoing renovation and closed for months. So, it may be difficult for those who don't speak any Japanese, but it's more prudent to have a phone or paper mail reservation beforehand!

This points out that something I didn't realise about the merchandise. Yuzuru thinks these things out so clearly, and many of the things on offer are all emergency-usable, so perfect for this show.

Yes, it is all very well thought out, practical and focused. Personally I think that's awesome!

I lost the presales lottery. 😭😭😭
But I’m happy to see that some new fans who found him through his collaboration with Kenshi Yonezu or other artists won tickets and will get to see an ice show for the first time.

:ghug: I feel for you. This happens with every show because the number of people competing for tickets is so high...

This one must have been even more of a bloodbath, being his first Solo show after the "Maintenance", and with only one stop in a comparatively small venue (I think that in an ice rink configuration, with stand-up tickets, the capacity is 6,100 people?)
There used to be polls managed by fans, with several thousands answers, to get an idea of the rejection rate, I haven't seen them lately?

Yeah, this year was bound to be way more difficult, that's true. Sorry to hear you've lost.:console:
But it is great what you're saying about Kenshi Yonezu fans. This was a really great collaboration for both of them, and the mixing of fandoms makes me so happy. I wonder if they ever go back to it and give us more of this wonderful duo thing, would be awesome to see them creating something together again....
