Rena Inoue and John Baldwin - Cute

I suppose this is old news here, but I just saw the video of John Baldwin proposing to Rena Inoue on You Tube. My husband asked me if I had known about it. I must have missed that at some point. Anyway, it was cute.

I remember when Kurt Browning proposed to his wife - Sonia - while performing with Stars on Ice:

It was a little awkward. If John had proposed after a gold performance, it would be perfect. Any way, wish them happy!

it was a big deal here on GS... with a very heated debate over if it was appropriate.

They had skated about as well as they were able. All they goofed up significantly was the triple axel. And they had skated an excellent short.

That's about as good as it was getting, I think.

With John Baldwin I don't think one can ever believe that they'll be done... IIRC they are going to try for 2010 if their bodies feel up to it...

2010 is still a couple of years away - who knows what could happen by then? I will be surprised to see them at the Vancouver games.

U.S. National Pairs Champion, Rena Inoue will have her life documented on NHK TV Japan. Inoue and her partner, John Baldwin will take viewers through their partnership as she moved from Japan to the United States to skate together. The feature is scheduled to air on NHK TV next fall.
