17.00-21.00, 18th March, Moscow
16-18 participants (and two substitutes)

Skaters must be born in 2007 or older. Skaters from any discipline are allowed to participate. Olympic champions (team or individual event) and world champions can participate without selection. The list of participants will be published on the 1st March.

Each of the participants will have to present an original exhibiton created especially for this competition and not presented/announced in any way earlier:
Duration of the exhibition: from 2,5 to 3 minutes (additional time is to be agreed with the organisers)
Obligatory technical elements: none
Restrictions for the use of props/costumes: none (must be provided by the competitor)
Artistic light will be provided by the organiser
Special effects / projections etc.: in agreement with the organisers

Prize pool
1 - 5 000 000,00 RUB
2 - 3 000 000,00 RUB
3 - 1 000 000,00 RUB

The organisers reserve the right to establish additional nominations which will be notified to all participants no later than 1st March.

Each invited participant will be paid a fee of 250 000,00 rubles which can be used for choreographing, costumes and/or props, as well as covering other expenses related to participation in the event.

Should be a fun event but so far skaters' response has been pretty muted. One major problem is that the judging criteria and the panel of judges are still unknown. I guess the organizers are now trying to negotiate with many skaters trying to secure some big names. For one thing Sasha Trusova is presumably injured and she will be missed.

This is an interesting thread. Here is one of my favorite recent videos of Alina performing at a hockey event about a month ago in Kazan.

High prize money will ensure there's a strong field

There is an exhibiton gala at a synchronized skating competition right now. Invited skaters include Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Gleb Lutfullin, Dmitri Aliev, Elizaveta Shanaeva/Pavel Drozd.

It may be the most exciting, interesting and nostalgic show in figure skating history! Can't wait!!!:popcorn::popcorn:

Separated thread for the competition

How exciting, some great names to look forward to, especially excited to see Yagudin on the list, can't wait! Hope its on Youtube.
They post everything from random local city competitions to senior nationals, I don't see any reason that would be different for this event. And if they don't, usually pretty quickly high quality videos start appearing, look at the show "for the love of skating" or Averbukh's show last week
