Not sure what that means. Probably a typo), Mikhail Tikhonov, Nikolay Ugozhaev, Grigoriy Fedorov, Arseniy Fedotov

Whoo! Kirill is my fave! Can't wait to see his new programs (if he has new programs, I assume he does?

I wonder if the slash means that one of Nikita S or Mark Lukin will skate (maybe depending on which one is training better as we get closer to the time).

Hope we see Popov soon though.

According to his coach Ilya Yablokov never planned to attend Junior Test Skates this year. I had hoped that maybe he would be invited to Senior Test Skates but of course the most important thing for him now is to recover from his injury.

Why is Lutfullin missing from the line-up? Is he also going fully senior?

Not that Akatieva doesn't belong there, she will be a freak show among juniors anyway, she look much more mature than Adelia, for example...

Hi guys, I have a question about vpn. I checked out the linked site itself and it has videos of the cup final on it as well, that are accessible without vpn right now. So, are live streams different and do they upload videos separately?

The live streams are only accessible via vpn but usually after a day or two the archived stream appears, and that is not geoblocked (at least in Austria, dunno about Canada).

Right, I just thought since test skates are a high-priority event for the Russian skaters that Gleb might make the trip back earlier. But I could also see RusFed inviting him to senior test skates. Maybe they'll have the nine skaters of the senior national team, plus some hand-picked (ex-)juniors (Yablokov, Lutfullin, Kovalev) to make two groups of six?

I expect all skaters who are aiming for senior Nationals will have to compete in the senior RGPs to qualify? So Vlad should be there. The junior Cup stages will probably be mostly made up of elder age novices.

Ultimately, though, to make sure they have enough skaters for all 6 stages, do they really have to do test skates? Like, to have 12 skaters per each event, if every skater does 2 events, they need 36 skaters. Unless it’s 6 juniors, 6 seniors, then they need 18 of each.

I guess, this might be why they had slash, looking at their shape? Okay, now absense of Popov is literally glaring… injured? Senior? Left? Because, I am sorry, but Avtushenko didn’t do well at all last year.

Last year he returned earlier from Tartu to take part in Test Skates. But now the flights are more difficult and Test Skates are not a selection for JGP.

I think Test Skates are kind of tradition at the moment. And probably skaters will be seeded based on their perfomance there.

In St Petersburg Federation's calendar, some of the competitions are marked as "Grand Prix qualifiers". Apparently this is how skaters who are not members of the national team will be selected.

I think Test Skates still serve their main function and that’s to get collegial opinion. Plus for all of us to get a teaser!!! Speaking about SP, fingers crossed for Kutovoy to be in shape to make GP.

Max A in the tradition of Russian men these days is super tall, although his growth spurt seems to have come at a much younger age (I wonder if this will be to his benefit in the end?). He and Kirill S are only a few months apart in age, but Max is waaaaaaaay taller.

Yesterday Plushenko posted on Instagram that Avtushenko performed perfectly on "AoP Test Skates" so that's why he will be on Junior Test Skates. Still I'm sorry for Mark and Nikita. Probably AoP shouldn't put their names into the entry list until it's not clear who will go to the test skates.

The coaches don't put any names on an entry list for test skates, the federation chooses who they want to invite.

It's entirely possible Rus Fed officials also attended/were sent videos, and (as none of the three are on the national team) they decided to choose Maxim over Mark and Nikita based on their respective condition right now. If Maxim was clean (with quads and 3A), he's definitely the most interesting of the three for the federation right now.
