Russian Junior Test Skates 2022

I'm so happy to see Dasha! I really hope she has successfully recovered from her injury. But it seems like she still needs to control her emotions better

She looked so happy she landed everything even tho she had to spin out of the combo but she saved it nicely. Tho I feel like dasha smiling for the remaining of the program didn't fit the programs vibe too much lol

Clean Lyuba!

Im kinda happy that now she cant go for the lz-lo combo in the short. Its nice for her to go clean in the short and set up herself well for the long.

watching the girls from the beginning...speaking of Nika, am I crazy or did she grow a few inches?? I feel like she looks so tall for some reason, but maybe she just has long legs, lol

I feel like today went relatively well. Some skaters struggled but most did really well for it being so early in the season and Russian jpg starting only at the end of next month!

Tomorrow will be scarier and wilder as the boys and girls bring the quads out to play.

Yikes, Nika's new short is je t'aime? Not a good choice for a 14-year-old junior, imo, especially one like Nika who tends to struggle with emoting...kinda wish they had kept her Harley Quinn program from last season, but maybe this program will end up working for her
Yes, not an impressive program at all-and yet I know team Plushy has choreographic talent on board, but this program is just uninteresting, especially compared to Yamatova, Titova and even Gorbecheva (no, not crazy about Cruella, but I did like the program). I feel like they should have moved Maria up to senior test skates even if she is a 'junior', and kept Sofia A in junior test skates. When all the SP's have basically the same elements, spins and choreography becomes more important.

eh, I think it's fine for them to make an exception for Akatyeva given her only doesn't make the age cutoff by like, a week. I wonder if her doing senior test skates means she will be competing as a senior.

who was the best lady? for me 1) Titova 2) Zinina 3) Rubtsova
If we are going by actual scores, I think Veronika Z wins-everything she did she racked up the points. But whose programs I want to watch again and again? Yamatova and Titova. (PS I know this isn't a competition, but if it were.....)

she put her leg down after the combo tho so that would have been negative goe if we go by actual scores.

I have no idea how I'd rank them, really. Titova, Zakhrova, Zinina maybe tied for first? It will play out in the long.

Most impressed by Yamatova, fast more ice coverage, big jumps. Stood out from the rest. Yamatova, then Sofia Titova those two really stood out for me. Do like Kuliakova and Alina G both very expressive. Well done to them all. Side note ditch Veronika Zhilina music please. Well done to them all. 👏

I thought Rubtsova was with Eteri? Did she switch or was I just confusing her with Dvoeglazova?

She has a problem harnessing her power-the lutz was too big. Karen Chen has the same issue. I think GOE would have only been slightly negative-the rest of her jumps, and spins were outstanding. Stepseq wasn't the best of the day, but it was good enough.
