Russian Qualifiers and other important competitions

The same situation (three Main entries for skater/couple) was past seasons sometimes.
It makes no problem - when skater had two Events, he/she can not have more.

In fact, there is no difference between state of Main and Substitute entry. At any moment (including Team Leaders Meeting) Substitute may become Main.
Main means preferred by Federation entry, and nothing more.

I know what you told, but I wonder who will skate in Tallinn if Serafima is competing in Japan. I'm afraid they will give that spot to Kayumova.

Is Sotskova still having growth issues and injury or is Tsurskaya that good?
Tsurskaya is a very good skater.

Very few info about competituion for now.
Top 3 after SP and their SP scores.
1. Tsurskaya 61.57
2. Sotskova 59.95
3. Mitrofanova 53.53 (she was born 05 May 2002)

maria looked solid enough given her injury. The jumps in the second half explain the difference in score. I prefer maria,a skating tho.

Good job Maria! Polina is maybe technically better than her, but I prefer watching Maria, too.

That said I think the 3t in combo might have been <. Still she has two more weeks to be ready.

Wow. Can't really say who I liked better. Maria's skate seemed more experienced but Polina's was just awesome.

Maria is definitely not at her best right now. But I really hope to see her to be a world champion someday. She looks sophisticated (yet delicate at the same time).
Polina is very fluid on ice, but she appears to be quite slow, especially her spins.

Junior Ladies Final Result (top 3 of 36, in FS were 24 best after SP)
Pl Name Score SP FS
1. Polina Tsurskaya 180.59 1 1
2. Maria Sotskova 173.14 2 2
3. Ekaterina Mitrofanova 161.70 3 3

Hope Sotskova's level will be enpugh to earn JGP Final, and in 3 months (Final is at December) she will fully restore.

Probably so.
Maria had SP scores about 65 past season at competitions of compatible level.

Her Wikipedia page shows she grew 8 cm in the past season (height now 162 cm, last year 154 cm) so maybe that also hindered her progress along with the injury. Dealing with growth is hard enough when you are skating every day, but when you have to take time off to heal, and then suddenly your proportions are all changed, it's even harder to adjust. I thought her jumps looked pretty good for the most part. Hopefully she can still qualify for the JGPF. I really liked her last season, and her SP is really great!
