My only 2 complaints are that Maya was held back in pcs which cost her bronze and Kamilla's bonus for the lutz combo was undeserved: she barely stood on her feet. Other than that another terrific show brought to us by crazy talented Russian youngsters.
If Kamilla learns an "ultra-C" jump and skates consistently with it she can become the best junior skater ever. The same but without "junior" can be said about Alena Kostornaya. Hope, she is doing well.
all Kamilla's lutz combos are wild and randomized, it's her only weakness (to me)
Lutz' edges are a common weakness in these still very young skaters ( and many of the older ones too ). Some edge calls though are a little 'edgy', (pardon the pun)
Some routines seem very busy, giving the skater little time to set up the jump in full concentration with the proper preparation or ' lead in '.
What would you suggest as general improvement?
Are all of the top 6 just barely eligible for 2022? What standouts are there that will make the cut for 2022, including those not in this competition? I think Akatieva is too young. It's this group to watch for 2022 because they'll be 15 and ready to dominate, like the 3A's next year.
In order to compete in 2022 Winter Olympic Games in figure skating, a skater has to be 15 years of age by July 1, 2022, according to current ISU rules.
So he or she has to be born before July 1, 2007 if my maths are correct.
Akat'yeva, born July 7, 2007 misses the cut by just a week.

My bad, sorry :disapp:
A pity for Samodelkina and Muravyeva, those excellent young CSKA skaters that did so well over the last couple of weeks.
Here they are, bright eyed and full of promise, and probably the best of friends on the CSKA team:
