Hello everyone,
Today I reach out to you to communicate something important.
Every athlete goes through very difficult times during their career and there’s always a question comes to your mind: ¨Is it worth it?¨. This question has been in my life since I started skating at the highest level and my answer was always a clear outright ¨Yes, sure¨, but from some time now it started loosing its strength until I realized one day that it wasn’t clear for me anymore. This is what took me to make the hardest, long thought decision I’ve ever made which is to end my journey with Adrian Diaz and focus towards new challenges.

Oh my God, to say I am shocked is an understatement.

This is extremely disappointing. They were one of the most original and innovative couples out there, I will really miss seeing them preform.

Yes. It is a surprise. I am especially surprised at the timing- you'd think they would have at least done their GP assignments, perhaps even finished the season.

The only upside is that Coomes/Buckland will almost surely get a 2nd GP slot now, but that's small consolation to me.

This is a huge shock. I wanna cry seriously. They were one of the most -if not the most- creative pair. I can't imagine Adria with another partner.

Yeah, I thought she just had had a bad day in the office, it can happen to everyone. It looked awkward because it happened at the k&c but I guess almost every team has moments like that. That's what I thought, I didn't give it too much weight.

Sad to hear this, but not entirely surprised. When I commented on the kiss and cry behavior at Georges-Ethier, some posters thought I was making too much of it. Unfortunately, I guess I wasn't. I hope Sara and Adria both find new partners and continue to skate. I like them both.



ETA: So sad Sara is retiring. Or is she? The message in Engllish says her life as a skater will continue. Perhaps she's just recharging and regrouping.

We spanish fans are wonderig how this came. It's so unexpected and confusing... *_* Did she retired from skating? Did they just split their partnership?
The Spanish Federation twitter sends a confusing tweet, who lets think that she will continue skating. I'm full of questions.

Oh my goodness, I'm shocked. I loved watching them and was really looking forward to seeing them again this year. Well... it's their life, so if it's better for them both... I guess it is. But I can't imagine they'll have an easy time finding partners; Spain's ice dance program is hardly enormous.

This is what I think too. My reading of the messages from her and the fed are that she at least hopes to continue, but to be honest, I don't think she actually is a stronger skater than he is, and I don't know who she hopes to find as a stronger partner than he is even if she were a stronger skater.

What?! No! They were finally being acknowledged it's such a shame, I think they were a great team. Not sure about what will happen with both of them now, seems like Sara doesn't think her skating career is over but will take some time to get her priorities straight. It's very sad news, honestly, but I wish them the best on their future projects.

This is actually so confusing. Like- did Federation found out about their split from Facebook or Twitter and then run for both to get them together? Didn't they see it coming?
