Senior Ladies' Free Skate

I am starting to feel the growing pains of US ladies skating. The best are too young and sadly I feel the rest will not get the jump done at World's. I wish age didn't matter. Clearly, I never thought I would agree about Emily petitioning for World, but I hope she considers doing so.

Hmm. To be fair, she is only worse than Yu-na, Miki, Mao, Carolina, Yukari, Joannie (on good day) and Sarah Meier (on good day). She's more consistent than Joannie, Sarah, Carolina, and Laura Lepisto...who knows eh? I don't think 5th/6th is unrealistic though.

You certainly are not alone.

Tell me the last time you saw at least 3 women complete three-jump combos in a Nationals.

This is at the highest level. These girls can hang with the international crowd, I think.

Wow, this is turning out to be a very exciting competition! Ashley just skated great! I thought she had better jumps and better presentation/speed overall than Rachael, so despite the wobble on the 3R-2R late in the program, I think she should go ahead of Rachael in the LP, and certainly overall.

I think Caroline must have had some downgrades, or she would've certainly topped 120. I thought the overall quality of her program was better tahn Rachael's, who has her own speed problems...

Oh, Ashley less than .20 behind Rachael!
