If anyone with better knowledge wants to take over go for it

Jessica Pfund and AJ Reiss. She is 16 and he is 21.

She is wearing a red dress. Lots of gold detailing through middle and cutout stomach. He is in black with red sparkle on shirt.

3twist, bit of a crashy landing.
SBS 3S - nice
Throw 3L - big!
I have no idea what the lifts are called!
Death spiral - she has nice position.
A little slow across the step sequence and they are out of time with each other.
Pair spin, sit, catchfoot, camel.... not heaps of speed.

55.16 and they go into 2nd.

Jessica Noelle Calalang and Zack Sidhu. She is 18 and he is 22.
She is in black/red tangoesque dress. One shoulder and one strap. He is in black with V neck.

SBS 3S - he falls, she steps out

Death spiral
They are skating to Hernando's...or bits of it. She has lovely expression.
Step sequence in good time but didn't grab me.
Pair lift. Looks snazzy. Oh dear. Got really slow at the end he nearly stopped/
Throw 3F and she hangs on.
Pair spin - camel, V, changefoot...sit...catchfoot.

They show their costumes up close now. They are gorgeous.
Black overlay red with crystals. "flame" detailing on sleeves.

51.19 and they are in 3rd.

That's group 1 done.

but anyway, same here for the lifts! I just go with good <---> bad and as planned <---> oops, that didn't look right!

I cannot believe it was possible to watch live streams of the National Championships of Italy, CZE, SVK, POL, HUN, JPN, RUS, UKR, and then some, but not the US!?!
Now things get interesting, Scimeca/Knierim next... How's the warm-up going? They struggled with their sbs jumps so far this season...

Alexa Scimeca and Christopher Knierim. She is 22 and he is 26.
They are in grey/silvery/white ombre costumes.
Her dress is one shouldered with beautiful flower detailing aacross the shoulder and across the bodice.
Kind of along the lines of Ashley's black swan dress.

HUGE 3twist. Wow. Even I know that was BIG!
Enormous throw 3F. She could have fit in another rotation!
SBS 3S. They both fall. In time though! Perfectly in time. +3!!
Pair spin, some nice positions that the other pairs haven't done so far.
Lift looks great. She is flexible! Everyone is clapping.
Nice position on the death spiral.
I like watching this pair. They have great connection to their music and are very smooth together. Nice choreo in the step sq.
They finish a little after the music.
Such a shame about the falls because their other elements were great.

Bam! OK, we get a notion of the National Inflation for the US Nationals now... according to their bio, their previous PB was 59.56. Here, they get 5.12pts more - despite both falling!
I hope I get to see them on youtube later - sounds like besides their sbs jumps (I hate to be right!), it was great!

S/K are world class in everything they do but i think the injury has made it hard for him to land his jumps. They still have a have a chance in the FP since very few teams here have the scoring potential that they do when clean.

No worries! I have read many, many live updates from others so I figure its my turn! Plus, I can type away in notebook and still watch. Do you guys want the scores at the end or is everyone watching those on icenetwork? I sit for a bit waiting for those, so you could have the update a little quicker if you are looking at scores yourselves.

She is in baby pink dress with silver sparkly straps and detailing.
He is in dark burgundy shirt with grey? vest.

Cool start to the program with her spreadeagle.

3twist - very fast going into it.
SBS 3T - nice.
Throw 3L and she lands it!
Complicated flippy wippy to get her into the lift and she sits on his shoulder...is that the life done?
I'm not sure their step sq fits the music.
Oh no wait here comes the lift. She is doing very interesting positions. Looks like it worked!
Great arch on the death spiral.
Pair spin, camel, sit, changefoot, sit, upright.
They look really pleased. High fiving.

They look happy in K and C. He is thanking people and she is waving a panda.
You can see her dress up close now, sort of a lace detail strap. Very pretty.

66.50 and they are in 1st. He fist pumps!

Here they go! He is in black. She is in red with diagonal cut outs and lots of sparkle.


Powerful opening. They are really fast.
Huge 3tw...I think Alexa's was still bigger.
SBS 3T - she doubles it. She was out of time going in.
Death spiral..she is a long way off the ice.
Throw 3F - hands down but she stays on her feet.
Big lift..think she fumbled a little for his shoulder.
He has great expression and wonderful upper body across the step sq.
The step sq is epicly choreod to this epic music!! Boom crash cymbals!
Pair spin, nice speed, good positions.
They finish just a hair after the music.

I'm totally impartial when it comes to pairs, I know the names of the couples but not much more. I know these guys are defending champs.
My fav performance so far would definitely be Alexa and Christopher.

Zhang / Bartholomay: 55.83 was their previous PB. They just got 11 points more than that!
Either they all do jumps that are twice as high as they ever did before, or the US has risen the build-up to new heights! That's like... if they were allowed to do 2 sbs 3Flips each after their program, and they'd get the points on top! lol
