The latest council of the Japanese Skating Federation has reappointed Seiko Hashimoto as president and named Olympic Champion Shizuka Arakawa as vice-president. She is the youngest person to become a member at the age of 32.

Wow, does this mean she might become president of the JSF in the future? If so, there will finally be a skating fed head who wasn't a speed skater!:biggrin:

Brilliant choice I believe. She knows skating, she knows how to win, she knows how to organize and run events, and she is good at PR and media presentations. She is also a prestigious and beautiful face for figure skating

Shizuka is amazing, an Olympic Champion and sincerily looking to help other skaters, the position couldn´t have gone to a better person!!!:clap:

She's amazing and totally deserves this! Seriously, she could...win things if she were still competing...she actually got better after retiring from competition.

What fabulous news! Someone who is widely respected as a person as well as an athlete who will bring class and integrity to the JSF.
