Anyone else scared for Paul/Islam, knowing their relatively undertrained status and the punishing altitude?

The Uzbekistan team's Love Story song was the worst. WHY do we have to encounter that awful piece of music even here? And they used an abrupt and awkward tempo slowdown just to launch into their second rumba sequence. My ears are bleeding.

Anyone know who O'Brien/Merriman are training with now (which coaches)? Their twizzles a minute ago in warmup looked good.

M. Hubbell's dress is interesting, but I think if they were gonna go that way, they needed it to be dazzling. It's almost muted despite what it's trying to do.

I think the dress is a bit much, even for Latin ice dance, but she has some star quality.

This Chinese team was worth seeing just for the costumes. Love them (but hope never to see anything like them again). She's fantastic - has some of the better Latin flair out there, IMO. He's a bit wooden, wonder if he can improve.

now we are not rhumbing, we have rhumba
for circular step, justifying going through it with very slow steps
relatively simple lift
back to let's get Loud

Man! This crowd is hard on the skater.Mind you...they're probably traumatized by all the bad skating from yesterday.
Maybe they are disappointed with the level of steamy sexiness? These are hot Latin dances and state legal limits should be tested.
