Short Dance 5:30 PM EST

Man! This crowd is hard on the skater. Mind you...they're probably traumatized by all the bad skating from yesterday.

Well, these skaters aren't very good. If I was in the crowd, I'd boo.

Mitchell/Islam had about as much latin flair as Mitt Romney sober. Just awful.

The one time I kinda like Hubbell/Donahue, he splats. But at least they brought some syncopation and gyrations to the dance, as well as some decent skating (when not falling).

Hubbell & Donohue

Zach falls in the circular step

Mujer Latina

second rhumba

Twizzles one foot with leg out 2nd set not as good-both kids having troubles

She flips over his back to end (this ending smoother than at Nationals)

49.93 new Sb GO FIGURE

Meryl and Charlie are the only ones that actually have a remote hint of 'azucar', it really does not matter but they are the best in this regard.

I actually thought that Hubbell/Donohue were better than I expected. Good for them.

that ending of H/D scares me a little - I don't know if it is hard, but it looks like it is and like it could tangle up into something terrible very easily. Good they did that well, though! Too bad on the fall and the twizzles weren't great, but I'm finding myself happy for this team and enjoy watching them/will enjoy watching them grow.

I know P/I probably got hammered on levels, but they did skate clean. H/D made three major mistakes that I saw. I don't get it.

Meryl's dress is orange. IN is shooting what's going on backstage Maia has the dress from US Nationals, I think.

Maia and Meryl keeping up each other's spirits.
