Short Dance 5:30 PM EST

I missed Meryl and Charlie because I hadn't even tried that La Zone Audio feed, but I've got it now. Crowd loves the Shibs!

V/M for me just subjectively, technically polished as always but didn't really light my fire.

YEEEAAAAAAH!!!! The Shibutanis rocked it. I (along with many others) used to think the team couldn't do anything uptempo. But they did here with their revamped SD and it's glorious. I might have them in first place myself.

I think D/W and V/M are so close in skills that I don't know why one might be surprise that one came in first over the other in any given competition. It could go back and forth with these two groups that I wouldn't be surprise to come in 2nd every now and then.

I thought the Shibs were terrific, and the crowd thought so too. They heartily booed the scores.

Lately it's been Davis and White consistently beating Virtue and Moir though.. whereas in the past, like 2010, it was the other way around.

Yeah, that seemed pretty low compared to D/W and V/M. I know D/W and V/M are THE best ice dancers in the world but the Shibs aren't shabby, and they had a GREAT program. Tons of speed and energy.

Boy is that true! I remember when I first started following M&C, I did not think they were as good as V&M. They are every bit as good now.You really have to admire their persistence.:)
