For this season, the skater chose the music from Interstellar for his short program.

"I really liked the music," he said. "I was inspired by Kamila Valieva's short program to this music. I really like the piano beginning and then the buildup to the footwork."

His free skate will be to music by Woodkid, and both programs were choreographed by Tommy Steenberg.

A true Renaissance man! Broad but enthusiastic interests (as a cook, his specialty is baking :) ) and a growing list of international experiences. He seems like he is eagar to learn from a varity of skating role models form Ilia Malinin and Mikhail Kolayda to to Kamila Valieva.

I like that he describes himself as "stubborn" when it come to music selection.

(Lucius does not really rhyme with Julius, his brother;s name, but oh well, LOL.)

This series of interviews with junior stars is a true service for GS readers, It gives us a heads-up as to what to be on the look-out for in coming season(s).

[Is it just me, or does the GS smiley for a gold medal look like a pineapple?]

I definitely agree - and not just because I need all the help I can get with my JGP predictions. LOL

It kind of does!

Fancy landing a triple axel for the first time at your Nationals! Kudos. Another lovely interview with an interesting young man. No walking all over this guy, he's going to do his thing!

Alas, he should maybe be told that both Lucius and Iulius are actually Latin names belonging to Roman culture... Lucius is one of the relatively few male first names and Iulius is a rather a famous family name. Nothing Greek about them. Olympia/Olimpia is ofc a different story.
