And not only that, but if you wait for one of the major ISU-sanctioned competitions, such as Skate America, then you have travel, several days hotel and restaurant bills, all-event tickets -- it could easily add up to a couple of thousand dollars.

My trip to SC-Halifax cost me about $1200 and SC-Mississauga about $1500. I really wanted to attend CSOI because Buttle and Sandhu will be on the tour, but the trip for a one day event was adding up to $800 or $900 dollars. And the nearest COI show to me this year is several hours away. I can't believe that I moved to a much larger city and the ice shows don't put in any appearances here. I had a much easier time seeing live skating when I lived in Ohio.
