Don't know if this has been posted, but there is a one hour SOI special set for December 30 on ABC between 5 pm and 6 pm (I have no idea if this is EST or PST or what -- check your local listings)

OT -- Did you guys see Kimmie on the Today show this morning. She looked amazing pretty (and did a nice single Axel and a single something else in her exhibition, LOL).

yes she looked good. She skated to a song by Wynonna. It must be hard to do jumps and things on such a small rink and outdoors in the cold no less.

I did. She looked really good. I never realized until today how small that patch of ice looks.

Yup, I did. And someone on one of the picture forums was nice enough to take high-def screencaps (I won't post the link here because some of the site's content may be questionable).

As for SOI, good news, hope it's in HD, and hope to see it in April when it comes to Baltimore.

*sigh* though it's nice that a sneak-peek at SOI will be shown on tv....I long for the days when both SOI and COI were aired in almost their entirety. It was a nice way to remember each years' show, by taping and keeping it as a memoir.

Well, I'm confused. :scratch: According to Heather's TV Figure Skating Schedule it's supposed to be a two hour special. I'm still hoping that that will be the case.

Actually, I think it would be nice to catch it (although I guess I wouldn't throw a fit if I missed it) so I KNOW what to expect when I go.

Anyone know why the show would be on ABC, instead of NBC?

It's been on ABC the last few years. My guess (though I'm not sure) is that Disson stopped handling the SOI TV broadcast a few years back so the NBC tie was broken. It used to appear on their site and it doesn't any longer. And for whatever reason, IMG has been negotiating this slot with ABC.
