I was a long time supporter of this girl, but today it is over!
I really started to like her when I first met her in my town at JGP. She pretty much messed it up in Dresden, but she had that "something" which made her lovabe.
I even started to massage her on vk/ig/snapchat, wished her good luck before the competitons and she allways answerd. Sometimes a short "thank you" sometimes novels ... whenever asking her about other skaters she never used a bad term to characterise her competitors, and all of her competitors (I know) like her.
She must be really an adorable young girl and every men's dreamgirl.
But as a skater she failed!
I NEVER EVER have seen her skate clean! If the SP was clean, she messed up the FP ... or the other way. And today it was the very same. I was askining myself before todays competition "Da hell she is doing at the juniors? she should be at Olympics!"
But the day today just showd why she isnt there. She disgraced herself at the JUNIORS!
I dont really know what her "problem" is. I suggest some Pogo-complex. I dont really know and dont even care anymore.
But, if there are still some hardcore-fans out there, wish her good luck at her ig.
I know she wont take it offensive. She will take it thankfull and support is what she needs now.
However, I am finished with Stasya.

Well yes, this is a disappointing conclusion to Stasya's season. Even if she doesn't read these threads, I'm sure the negativity around the way RusFed has handled her domestic comps has been expressed in other platforms and she would probably be somewhat aware of it.
The reality is that the moment Stasya came into competitive figure skating after starting 4 years later than her peers, she has already a steeper mountain to climb than others who started early and were discovered early. Russian skating favours young prodigies who peak at age 13-15, not girls who start at age 7-8 and don't get their first triples until they're as old as the wunderkinds who are already poised to dominate senior GP. Knowing this, is why I have been trying to root for her to reach a reasonable level of achievement at the international level, that would already be remarkable against this headwind.
That pinnacle is to qualify for senior GP, and regardless of what happens at Junior Nats, she really should focus on how she wants to approach next season. She is an outlier in Russia, where girls tend to peak early, but possible role models that she could look to are Kaori Sakamoto and Mai Mihara, both of whom stayed in juniors 1-2 seasons beyond their senior age eligibility, but went on to make substantial improvements in their first senior years and become solid contenders. Kaori and Mai are evidence that getting out of juniors late alone is not a sign of failure, but Stasya still has a gap before she can become like Kaori or Mai. She has the speed, power and fully rotates her jumps when she lands them. But what she lacks are the ability to execute her movements with an air of fluidity and effortlessness, and overall consistency.
A realistic goal is simply if she is able to make good use of next season to give a creditable showing in seniors and be competitive vs.the mid range of the Japanese and US skaters. After a season or two of GP, she will be around 19-20 years old anyway, and given the amount of catch-up she has had to do, qualifying for GP is already a respectable level of achievement in a career. In pushing her as a first alternate to Olympics / Euros before she has even skated her first GP, that was a (probably unintended) disservice as it's attracted unnecessary negative attention to her. Hope that her team and the Fed will help her to round off her career with a realistic set of expectations and make good use of the remaining year or two that she can be reasonably competitive.

Although I don't agree with her scores, she did an awesome and clean FS today and should be very proud of that

Yep, she did good. It was also nice to see that she seemed relatively happy with her score and placement.
Based on her SB score and her placement on the SB list she should get atleast one GP event next season. And based on the fact that she was 4th at the Russian Nationals she should be the main contender to get the home spot, so, she might get two GP events.
Two GP events. She is 22-th in the World Raitings and will be hygher after he end of the season/
I am not sure what you are trying to say but at the moment she is 14th at the Season Best list (She is really 16th but Trusova and Kostornaia can't move to seniors). This means that she should get atleast one GP event, and one would think she would most likely get the 3rd home spot if she doesn't get the 2nd GP event otherwise. This assuming nothing major happens to her between now and September.
She is currently 22nd in the World Standings. Ninel0226 is probably assuming that if Zhenia withdraws from Worlds, Stasya will go as the first alternate and therefore rise further in the standings (if say, she places in the top 8-10 then that could be a boost of 465-574 points, which would be sufficient to make up ground against Lena, Marin Honda and Mariah Bell).
However, that's assuming she goes to Worlds. If either Zhenia goes or they have Polina be the Worlds sub instead, then Stasya may fall out of the top 24:
- Bradie Tennell needs 351 points to jump ahead of her (achievable with 12th place or higher)
- Laurine Lecavelier needs only 66 points (achievable through any position in the top 24)
- Nicole Schott needs 295 points (achievable with 14th place or higher)
Even without top 24 WS (and Stasya is likely to land up at #25 even if she drops out), she's unlikely to drop out of top 24 SB and thus should still get GP's next season.

I was really happy for Stanislava that she held her own at JWC and skated very well. Well done! I still wish she dropped the tanos, i can't stand them but i love her power, her big skating, her commanding presence and her dramatic projection. She really stands out against those small girls with small jumps and somewhat contained skating.
Yes they can and that is not even uncommon.
Probably, since after her taking part in world juniors, she was not removed from substitute list of Russian Team for Milan
