With the exception of "Winter" and "Iron Mask", can anyone tell me any other well choreographed programs she's created? Those two were good, but obvious and not too deep.

Did TT choreo Shizuka's R&J? I know Shiz never performed it to it's full potential, but I thought it could've been a really good program had she been able to.

If I had to chose just one program by TAT, it would be Johnny's 'Swan'. Simply smashing.

BTW, it's "Terrosova"

Watched and remember the you tube links. Hmm.....good skaters, nice jumps, nice spins, nice crossovers. But wheres the CHOREOGRAPHY?!!!

I thing some people confuse a good idea and costume for choreography. I do think she selects good music and designs costumes well. (Except for Evans latest)

I believe TT's strength as a choreographer is in creating programs that hide her skaters' flaws and highlight their strengths. Her choreography is therefore really tied to her coaching, and is, so to speak, non transferable.

I think TT's choreography is quite average in general. Maybe she had a few really good programs, but there were many that border being lame. I don't see much artistic vision in most of her programs, especially recently. The last memorable programs from her were probably G/P's 1998 FD, then Yagudin's 2001 SP (but was it by her or Morozov?). She's a great coach thought, no doubt about that.

OK gkelly, those are better.
I just don't think Tarrosovas' work has the depth of choregraphy to hold up with choregraphers like Tom Dickson, David Wilson, or Lori Nickol. Especially in this new system.
I see more creative work done on a local basis with the up and comers from "no name coaches"

Tarasova also choreographed all of Gritschuk/Platov's routines for the the 96-97 and 97-98 seasons while she coached them. She also coached and choreographed for:

Moisyeva/Minenkov ( 2 time world champs and '76 OSM and '80 OBM)

Klimova and Ponomarenko (final competitive season)

Morozov did Sasha Cohen's Rachmaninoff and Malaguena, not Tarasova. Swan Lake was Tarasova.
That's not what Tarasova's site says and I got my information from there. Apparently it was a coproduction between Morosov and Tarasova - most of Johnny's programs also weren't choreographed by Tarasova alone but by Platov and her.

Tarosova choreographer, really?

I'm only really talking about her work in singles as it relates to todays work. I think due to the new system, choreographers deed to dig deeper with the use of full body movements, intricate edgework, and musicality.

Who did Takahashi's Phantom? That was GREAT!

One thing people seem to be missing is that Evan's PCS were the highest of the event. They reflect the quality of the program for the most part. He lost b/c of his technical errors. If you compare his results from last season, his PCS from this event were higher than for any of his international events last year. That's impressive considering that this is his first time out and that everyone's scores tend to improve over the course of the season as they become more settled with their programs.

By comparison, Johnny's PCS for this event were slightly lower than all of his internationals except Worlds from last season. (I am not Johnny bashing, just comparing scores.)

I think this shows that Tarasova helped Evan achieve his goal from the standpoint of choreography: improved PCS. If he continues to refine the routine and cuts out the errors, he should gain a point or two in PCS over the course of the season.

She has always been excellent at working whatever system is in place at the time to the maximum benefit of her charges.

Nikolai Morozov.

I expect Evan's PCS getting higher this season.
During the BC TAT talked about little flaws here and there in his SP. Sounded like she knew exactly what needed to be done to max out his PCS.
