๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ Poland wins.
๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฟ Czech Republic second.
๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Hungary third.
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Slovakia fourth.

Seems fitting for it to finish with each country represented in the Top 4 positions.

Time for the dinner break, both in the arena and for me.

Sorry, I was that busy trying to work out why there was no sound that I forgot to press "Post reply" on the reminder post when the pictures came back.

Is anybody else having this problem? Or is it something at my end?

That was funny. Jakub LOFEK was in an awkward starting position, and he was held that long that he had to pull out of it. And then he got back into position. And then pulled out again. And then finally started on the third attempt.

I think he was skating to John Cage's "4โ€ฒ33โ€ณ" at the start... :p

Hallelujah!

I don't think I could have sat through the whole segment if it was silent.

I admit, I'm mainly here to figure out what story Vovan Samoilov is trying to tell us with his free program and I absolutely need sound for that. :ROFLMAO:

Start of Group 2, and it's Battle Of The Brothers time!

Kornel first to go.

Beautiful programme from Kornel.

Such a pity about the fall.

When we went to the aerial camera, and they showed Kornel heading to the gate and Miล‚osz heading towards the middle of the rink, I thought they were going to high-five. But, they didn't.

Kornel goes into 3rd position.

Miล‚osz now.

And Miล‚osz emulates his younger brother straight away by falling. :palmf:

There was also a popped jump in the first half.

Both brothers did programmes that were enjoyable, but had mistakes. And I think Miล‚osz is going to do the same as Kornel and slip down the order.

The question is, will he remain ahead of Kornel?

Miล‚osz goes into third, pushing Kornel into 4th.

So, they both dropped down the same number of places.

Time for Samoilov.

I had forgotten that it was him that was doing this programme.

Honestly, I think it might be better without sound! Between the voiceovers, the bad cover of "Unchained Melody", the shooting, it is just awful.

Thankfully, the skating wasn't.

With the Witkowski brothers both slipping down, I can't remember who from Group 1 is leading. But, I think it is going to change now.

Nope, still can't make sense of that program.
The Axel seems to give Samoilov a lot of trouble lately, but otherwise a clean skate. :cheer2: Well done and off to Europeans!

Sometimes, it's better to be none the wiser.

I don't now anything about the film "Ghost", but my gues that it is the whole film condensed into a 4 minute package!

Yep, I would say that is a given.

And probably the same for Slovakia, because Hagara just did a good performance. (I swear that we saw that exact costume earlier. They must be sharing clothes!)

But, it will be interesting to see what happens with the Czech Republic. Will one of the two remaining skaters displace everybody's favourite ๐ŸŒต , Bล™ezina?

Oh, I love me a Greatest Showman program! :love2:

Me too!

That was a ๐ŸŒต cactus performance if I ever saw one. The stuff that was good was VERY good. But, there were also a couple of big mistakes.

I just czeched Wikipedia, and the Czech Republic have 2 slots in Men. So, given that Michal is still comfortably scoring higher than these guys on a regular basis, I would say that this is a shoot-out for the second slot.
