So, we were fluttering around Trophée Eric Bompard trying to capture practice videos, and who do we run into but the legendary "Godfather" of figure skating coaches himself, Alexei Mishin!

Check out what he has to say about Liza's season, Plushenko's prospects, and some of the other skaters he has coached. He even gives a shoutout to the Canadians!

He's a very charming, sweet (and hilarious!) man, and we're super excited and grateful to have had the chance to interview him.

Regarding if Plushenko will be at the Olympics, Mishin said: "We'll see!... Korea is very far from Bordeaux right now... only a not too clever man will give any kind of guarantee. laugh But we'll see... he's in a good condition!"
