Hi everyone
I’m currently skating in the Jackson Premiere Fusion 8W and Coro ace, have had the boots for about a year, they feel like they’re starting to break down and my coach agrees - I’m starting to get ankle pain when I pick in for jumps which is usually the first sign for me. Jackson’s have worked fairly well for me as I have a narrow heel and wide toes, I’ve tried Risport in the past (Electra ages ago then RF3 pro) but had heel slippage. The last few months the Premieres have started to press on the corner of my big toes, the right sometimes gets so painful I have to stop. That and the painful backs to the hooks mean I don’t want another pair of Premieres. My coach thinks I should stick with Jackson but is worried the Supreme might make me lose my knee bend - but he is used to the 95 stiffness Supreme not the current version which is 75 for women. I tried on the Royal Pro locally but they pressed on my bunion joint and the tongue dug into my shin painfully. I do have a decent knee bend according to him and he’s an ice dancer. I’m 5’7” ish and about 130lbs, currently working on axel and camel spin, I do deep sit spins and have big single jumps, I skate 10 hours a week on average. I’m a ballet dancer and have very strong legs, I tend to rock to my pick on spins as my calves are so strong so a lower heel might be nice. I’ve got an appointment with my fitter but not for 4 weeks as that’s when they’re next available. People who have experience with the 75 stiffness Supreme, would this be ok for me or should I get a custom with a 70 stiffness?

Hi and welcome! Look into the Jackson Supreme 5300 with the 75 stiffness rating, also look into Jackson Synergy Pro with 75 stiffness. You could also look at Graf Richmond Special and try those on to see how you like them (They have a lower heel than the Jacksons).
