Okay, how did we go from legitimate discussion about whether Sasha's team adopted the right strategy for her skating career to full on bashing??? Like we can talk about Trusova's layout choices and relative lack of success recently (tho she still medaled at two major comps, hardly a disaster), without bringing Kostornaia and Shcherbakova. I get it that you like both more than Trusova, but there's a time and a place to say it.
Back to Sasha, I think this season has demonstrate that raw jumping ability is not enough to win in seniors. You have to work on your presentation, and up your skating skills. Also it seems that consistency is highly rewarded by the judges.
I think that Sasha's arsenal of jumps is quite sufficient as it is, and she should now focus on working on her shortcomings. Maybe leave the 3A for now, and bring it back next season. I'm not even sure she needs it tbh. What hurts her in the SP is not the lack of 3A, but her low PCS. With the quads in the free, she could easily make up for the missing points, on the condition to skate clean. She won against Kihira at Skate Canada this way.
What I would like is for her to ditch the 4S for now. Imagine what she could do with better presentation and skating skills, two crazy consistent 4T, and all her triple-triple combinations. That's already a crazy BV. Maybe add another quad, the Lutz or the Flip and you're set.
