Valieva leaves Tutberidze, collaborates with Navka / Sokolovskaya

The writing has been on the wall since around April, and I have been predicting it, still it is an end of an era.

And a huge loss of faith in the Team Tutberidze school.

There would be a way to handle this saying thank you for the years of service, but with a heavy heart I bid adieu. Until we meet again.

But this has 'revenge is a dish served cold' all over it and Eteri will have to accept it. There will be be no little pot shots as with other skaters who have left in the past.

2026 will be interesting that is for sure.

I wonder what future Tutberitze has in Russia. I think she has been getting ready to bail to Georgia as national coach, and set up her on school there with backing (just an opinion I hope no-one takes my speculation the wrong way).

She is technically still banned, its possible Eteri doesnt want her back yet to keep things simple with ISU. Kamila doesn't want to sit out for an entire extra season.

Sokolovskaya gave her a job so to speak it seems like shes paying back the favour or it was set up this way from the beginning.

She still has a great relationship with Eteri.

I agree its a shame anyways. I hope she goes back eventually or its just not the same. Sokolovskaya cant handle that talent.

I don't think Eteri is going anywhere. Her newly growing generation is the most impressive in history for their age.

My feeling is she won't be back at Eteri's school. She needs to go somewhere else, to not remind her of the past (whether Eteri has any guilt or not).

Over the past 3.5 years, how many nights has she been laying on her bed as she went to sleep wondering who is responsible (probably every single night)? At some point she's thought, what if Eteri knew? Eteri might have zero responsibility, who knows, that's what is so strange about this whole thing. The substance was not really something that someone looking for an advantage would use. It would be hard for Valieva to deal with, she is probaly suspicious of many people who were around her during the period (assuming she is innocent which I think she is -- just my opinion I hope people don't get annoyed by it).

We'll never know, but Valieva was a once in a generation or lifetime talent before ever going to Eteri, and she will remain that assuming the motivation is strong (I think it is stronger than ever).

Also, Kamila probably sold it to Eteri as just until the Olympics finish, I will go somewhere else, but no in my opinion this is forever. Maybe she was scared of getting another program like 'Black Panther', so thought why not try something else. Valieva probably makes enough money on her own that she can hire someone like Dudakov for herself if she needs assistance. Navka herself has limitless resources this could be the best skating school in the world.

Its possible but I think those issues with Eteri would've already manifested before. She seemed happy at that camp for 2 years after the ban. It was her home and whole life. I hope she goes back. It really, really wont be the same with Sololovskaya. I think Black Panther was a good program. I can't imagine Sokolovskaya is creating anything better. Kamila got all her masterpieces from Eteri and the last SP was a total hit.

Kamila is so talented. I'd like to see how she does with choreography from Lori nichol or shae-lynne borne or whoever does Mao Shimada's programs.

I've already mentioned it on the Kamila thread.but I don't know if it's true. On telegram they highly think about this move in a way to protect Adeliia on this Olympic year. I'm pretty sure the IOC would be pretty pleased to sanction Adeliia....
