Ruslan is the younger brother of Nelli Zhiganshina who just received her German citizenship
He is of Tatar, Russian and German roots
Sinitsina / Zhiganshin have been skating together since 2006

Sky fly I never thought we would agree on anything but I love this couple. I saw them in the junior GP circuit and they are special. The Olys would be a wonderful experience for them.

I really really really like this couple!!!

They're extremely well matched, and one thing I really notice is that the couple isn't just about one person (in Chock/Bates, the programs are all about Chock); they both give it equally in the programs. I may be part of a minority here, but I really like their Norma FD. Victoria has gorgeous extension, and is just stunning to watch, and Ruslan really emotes and GIVES IT during the programs. They're really great to watch! I so hope that they get that 3rd Russian Dance spot for the Olympics; they've earned it between Nationals and Euros. They're a very promising couple for the next quad and even farther; a coaching change to someone in Detroit and away from Kustarova might be a good idea, but I really like them and I'm excited to watch them in the future!

I agree only detriment is Ruslan is a bit short and skinny for Victoria
