We Got A "New" Truck

I've been having on-going problems with my '96 Pontiac and no mechanic could seem to figure what the heck was wrong with it and I got to the point I just couldn't trust it and didn't want to sink any more money into repairs.
So, my wonderful DH went out today and brought home a "new" 2004 Dodge Dakota pick-up. 5 speed, 4WD, and some other nice extra goodies! Yippee! Now I can travel in style and hopefully with confidence I won't break down. I'm a little rusty with the 5 speed, but I'll get the hang of it again quickly, I'm sure!

We drove "her" over to Philly for the Phillies game this afternoon. Great truck! Nice ride! Comfortable!

She didn't bring the Phillies any luck though...I think we've been to 10 games and they've lost 8 out of the 10.:disapp:

What has been up with the Phillies this year? At least they won against the first place Mets last night.

Lots of injuries this year....bullpen is pretty pitiful and unreliable. But somehow, several players manage to be in the top 10 for hits or stolen bases or whatever.
We're in 2nd place in our division and vying for a wild card spot with the San Diego Padres, who pretty much made mince meat out of us winning 2 of the 3 games we just played with them.
Last nights win against the Mets was fabulous...wish I'd been there instead of watching at home.

I was on pins and needles the whole game Tuesday night...Ryan's HR was just what the team, the phans AND Ryan himself needed! He's been striking out an awful lot lately...last 4 or 5 games seems to be getting back into a better grove.

We have a terrible record for the games we've gone to live...10 games seen live, only 2 wins! Two more games to go to, including my birthday celebration game on the 30th of Sept. I can't wait!
