And they just beat the Canadian team as well today 2-0 which a cnn.com newsfile described as "an NHL All Star team."

Simply incrdible. Swiss do have very strong goaltending though, but that's all of their NHL guys. Everybody else are the Euro league guys. Both Canada and Czechs should be concerned.

The player Paul DiPietro that scored the two goals for the Swiss team is a Canadian. He used to play forward for the Montreal Canadians. He is from Ontario and married a Swiss girl and moved there.

DiPietro hasn't played in NHL in 10 years, though so that's a huge upset to have a bunch of NHL superstars scoring zero goals and a ex-NHL star scoring 2!

I was wondering about how he came about to represent Swiss. I know they are very strict with citizenships, but I guess they will make an exception for the Olympics.

Italian team is made up mostly of Italian-Americans and Canadians of Italian descent. Got to give these guys a lot of credit, especially their goalie, Jason Mazetti!
