What is the meaning of Cacti in FS?

his majesty just won a GP medal with two spectacular skates, which means he's going to bomb his next comp (i hope he doesn't as usual, but i'm not confident)

This reminds me of when Brezina won the SP at Europeans. We were all ecstatic! Remember?

Of course, we all suspected that our joy would be short-lived, and it was. Falls on both quad attempts and an 11th place free skate that landed him in 7th overall. We didn't care, we loved him anyway, and our boy had a small gold medal!

I consider that the ultimate cactus experience.

Whatever His Majesty King Selevko does for us in the next comp, we'll STILL keep hanging on.

Cactus/cacti are skaters so good but so inconsistent that it hurts to love them but you can't help it, by extension now it refers to every man skater. full disclosure, i didn't invent it, but i started using it regularly and it stuck

of course! i also remember the short lived Brezinascence, when he started placing well at the start of the season to just go back to his old cactus self by Euros. it's like giving birth, the pain is excruciating, but then you have your baby in your arms and you forget about everything (so i've been told). that's why we love them, that and also because we're masochists. it hurts so good
