What Kind of Movies Do You Like to See?

Summer blockbusters are the main focus of Americans for escapist movies, imo. More serious movies come around Sept - Dec., but they don't make as much money as the escapists do.

Which type of movies do you enjoy as an individual at any time of the year? Check up to three

I chose Romantic Comedies, Suspense and Other.
I like a good horror movie, like The Exorcist, The Omen, Halloween, Sixth Sense, etc. Not a lot of blood and gore but lots of bite-your-nails, make-you-jump moments.
I'm definitely not into period pieces, musicals (except maybe Grease), and really goof-ball movies like Dumb and Dumber.

Tragic love stories get to me although I try not to show it. R&J - If they only had a cell phone.

oops didn't realize you could pick up to 3, but then most of my choices are not available.

for me it would be:

1) foreign (especially foreign based on a novel or historical event)
2) suspense/mystery
3) independent movies

And I have to throw this in:

4) really dumb comedies (for a good comic relief). Last one I saw was "Superbad". - which was super funny!

I did not realize that one can choose more than one, LOL. Anyway, my favourite movies are:

- suspense
- romantic tragedies
- espionage/intrigue

Well... Action-Adventure tops my list, but it's not up there...
I'm into Sci-Fi (as long as it's not a thriller)
I have a few war movies in my collection (just Saving Private Ryan and Sands of Iwo Jima)
And I like a good musical

and then a great animated Disney film every now and again (but they haven't produced one of those in eons... Pixar is their saving grace!)

not big on horror/suspense/bloody just for the sake of bloody movies.

I practically checked them all. I don't watch horror movies. But I'm a sucker for a good story, period.
