who do u guys think will come near the top in sr. men. any new faces???

No doubts in my mind: Jeffrey  . I think it's his year.
Eman second and 3rd place is up for grabs. Probably Ben Ferreira.

I'll say Emanuel, he always seems to fair well at Nationals. Jeff hopefully 2nd, and I'd love to see Nic Young in the bronze position; he has two of my favorite programs this year.

1. Emanuel --> Nationals has been his event in the past
2. Jeff --> He has been fantastic this year and he's coming off a tough year with new motivation I think.
3. Ben --> We're hoping! I'd really like to see Ben stay on the podium

I would just like to add that I do think that Emanuel will win nationals but that Jeff will surpass him at Worlds because Emanuel doesn't always keep it together in pressure situations like World competition, especially in the short program I have found.

Hoping for Jeff to win (I am tired of Eman's inconsistency). Eman will factor in as will Ben. Shawn Sawyer, Nicholas Young, Chris Mabee (is Fedor in it?) will duke it out for those final national team spots but I don't see them on the podium unless the top dogs have meltdowns (very possible for Eman).

I agree completely

I think it eill prolly be Jeff over Eman. Shawn Sawyer would be nice to see; finally saw him skating at Cup of Russia, lots of possibility. Can Canada send 3 men to Worlds?

not this year, i don't think. maybe next year???

Emanuel has always done really well at Nationals in the past so I think he's going to win again, with Jeff Buttle probably a very close second. No idea who could be third ... Ben Ferreira maybe?
Vanessa

1) Jeff Buttle (I hope! hehe) (I can tell that this is going to be his year and the move to California seems to have been nothing other than good for him, Go Jeff!
2) Emanuel Sandhu ( I agree..definitely some consistency problems.... but an amazing skater!)
3) Ben Ferreira ( He seems to have been doing great this year...and is pulling it together more often!)

Forgot your closing bracket at the start there.

It's a toss up. Have we ever seen both Eman and Buttle skate clean routines in the same competition? Usually they take turns. However, watch that kid with the double joints, Sawyer, and Young who did well at Skate America. Ben????

Joe

Yes..I agree with Joe.. they usually do take turns. But I would also love for it to be a close, good competition whre everyone is skating at their best..Nationals will be so interesting...as well as Worlds! I hope Ben gets 3rd with Jeff and Emanuel taking 1st and 2nd. That's what is expected anyway. But that's right, you have to watch out for Nicholas Young and Shawn Sawyer--he's some flexible! :agree:

Eman usually does well at Canadians so my money is there. I admire Jeff for his consistency but when Eman is on he is phenomenal. He will have to have more attack in the programs then he did at GPF.

I am hearing a lot of respect from the other skaters for Shawn Sawyer.

I'm an American fan & haven't seen your men compete as often as you have. However, what I have seen (Grand Prix/4CC's/ Worlds) is that Buttle is just as inconsistent as EMan, with a major difference. EMan is able to land his quad in competition at least 50% of the time while Buttle has no success at landing a quad in competition. Buttle even has trouble with his triple axle. I think that EMan is the better all round skater & will win Canadians.
