Took a while to find this one again, but I knew there was one recently that I puzzled over but couldn't get. Before I cheat and Google "anagrams for...", is there a typo there, or are those the actual letters? I'll confess I haven't made anything out of it so far

If there was a u in it, I'd make it Mummy, which is why I asked if there was a typo?

[Edit: I've seen in print the American dialect version of Mum as Mom (not in any other English-speaking country), apparently pronounced "mawm" like Tom or calm. Is there a babytalk version Mommy? Is it pronounced Mawmee?]

"Mommy" is a diminutive form of "mom" & "mother." No doubt I called my mom "Mommy" when I was I little kid. Where I live (in Phila. PA) , we pronounce it as "mahm - mee," with the accent on the first syllable.
