I voted all because I watch the entire competition... but my two biggies are ladies & pairs...

Unforntately, I might not be such a uberfan of the sport next spring if there is drama at the Games. And the sad part is that with CoP, I probably won't understand the root cause of the drama to begin with... Maybe I should spend my summer really figuring out the new judging system...

I enjoy the ladies, pairs, and synchro.

On top of that, I am an adult figure skater as well, so as my wife would say, I am obsessed.

I watch them all, but they have shifted and reshifted positions on my favorites list over the years. I started out watching Ladies mainly. Janet Lynn was so beautiful. Pairs was big during the Tai and Randy and G &G years. Frankly, Ladies didn't interest me much when Witt was skating. I was more interested in Men's skating in the Brians/Kurt years and again with Yagudin/Plushenko. I have tried consistently to cultivate a love of ice dancing. Some years are better for it than others.

It just depends on what's happening in each discipline. They each wax and wane for me.

I voted "All". If there is a competition on for 3 hours with all disciplines, my tv is staying on that channel. :)

i watch mens mostly so i voted for just mens.... i do sometimes watch all disciplines but not if i dont have to...

Over the decades my interest has varied based on who is competing. I used to be only ladies, then men bacame more interesting. I think pairs really caught my interest with the rise of the chinese pairs in the recent years. Dance still lagged far behind until the last year or so.

I must admit that our TV coverage has had an impact with their human interest stories, their hype about rivalries (real or otherwise) and then when I began getting some Europsport tapes from friends in Scotland, seeing and hearing about other skaters (non-American) my interest expanded. Also the advent of the internet has greatly increased my overall appreciation of all the disciplines.

But with all the political/scandal controversy the past couple of years, I do find my interest somewhat dampened. Not that we didn't already know fixes happened, just that now it is so out in the open I have lost respect for the system, judges, and really feel for the skaters subjected to the fix.

I didn't pick any of the choices becuase I don't feel that any one in particular applies to me.

I've always enjoyed watching skating, but was just a casual fan until 2002. Since then I have become a die-hard fan and especailly when it comes to one lady in particular. I am huge fans of 2 skaters (one lady, one pairs team). There are a few other skaters who I root for, but beyond that I don't have much interest in who wins or who doesn't. I watch all disciplines, although I defintley have a stronger interest in some, but they aren't the main reason I watch.

So my truthful interest is really in just one lady, but I'm also interested in skating in general....if that makes any sense.

I voted all. My current favorites are mens and ladies, but I still watch pairs and dance (even though I don't quite understand it.) I will watch whatever comes on Tv, rebroadcasts of old competitions, tapes from the last year of skating(during the summer). My dd skates in non-qualifying competitions in Canada, and I will watch most of the skaters there as well.

2 years ago, I would have voted all, but now I can't vote, since Synchro is not the sole option. Since I've started competing in synchro again, I find singles, dance and pairs somewhat boring, since there's only 1-2 people on the ice. To me, it lacks the excitement and intensity that synchro provides.

I watch all of the disciplines except Synco (never really had a chance), my favorite discipline changes as the new skaters arrive and the old one retires.

For instance in the 98-02 cycle my favorites we pairs and dance but this cycle I prefer men’s and ladies but irregardless I watch all four.

Unlike some others I have found that COP has increased my interest in Figure Slating because it allows us to more accurately judge what is going on, For instance prior to COP I could say the E.P. had bad Chorography but now I can show concretely why. (His element layout is very bad) or if people say why isn’t S.C. getting penalized for her Flutz, I can say yes she is look at the GOE (one jump doesn’t make a program)

I watch all skating, but prefer singles.

Right now I find the men & women equally interesting. Then pairs. Least favorite is dance.

I love all figure skating. It is beautiful, exciting and in some cases emotional. I really appreciate all the hard work these athletes put in to compete. I have some favorites and its always nice to see someone unexpectly skate a masterpiece. I'm always eagar to watch the next competition and I'll be so glad for this season to start.

I enjoy watching the ladies and pairs competitions. However, when it comes down to shelling out cash to see an event, if Michelle Kwan isn't there, then I stay at home and catch it on TV.

Favorite

As above if I pay its Michelle or I watch on TV if I remember and now its on ESPN and I forgot all last season. I guess Im part of the decline.

I accidentially (well sort of ;) ) chose Just the Men, alas that is a half-truth as I equally enjoy the ice-dancing event and that would be prejudiced to only watch the men (albeit not hard on the eyes), but I appreciate every event and every skater.
