Yuna Kim

It doesn't seem that there will be one. Apparently last year's show was indeed Yuna's retirement show (it was called that too) - not just from competitive skating, but from skating altogether. I guess they decided that there was no point in doing the show anymore if Yuna was not going to be in it, as the majority of the public obviously attended the shows mostly because of her, although they appreciated the foreign stars too. I personally don't quite agree with it - I think they could have kept the show going (perhaps involving other organizers, as I understand that the organizes were basically Yuna's mother and staff) so that the other Korean skaters had this yearly opportunity to appear before Korean public, if for nothing else. If the attendance went down a lot without Yuna in the shows, they could have made it more low-key and two or one show days instead of three (although the other side could be that the attendance would decrease even more without all the splendor of a high budget show and with a lesser number of star skaters). All that said, what I find a bit strange is that after the last year's shows there was apparently an announcement from the organizers stating that it was not the end of it, and that there were going to be even two shows a year like before the pre-Olympic and Olympic seasons. Granted, I didn't hear or read the announcement myself, someone just retold it on the FSUniverse forum, and it could have been false and/or a misinterpretation. Perhaps it was the case, as otherwise there should have been an announcement that they had reconsidered. I could believe it that Yuna perhaps thought she could continue to perform at least in this one show for her fans, but later understood that she had many other things to do in her life, and that leaving skating behind was actually the best option so that she could really concentrate on those other things. But in such a case she could have just said it to her fans in an interview or something, and I have read nothing of the sort from her Korean fans (or those who understand Korean) on the forums. I am not saying that she was obliged to do so, but it would have been considerate - especially if at some point there was an announcement about the shows continuing. But considering that there doesn't seem to have been either word from her, or an another announcement from organizers, it is very probable that in truth there was not an official announcement about shows continuing either.

So no more ATS 2015? :( Sad. Thanks for replying

What? Again? Why all her higest viewed videos from Olympics have to disappear? All views are in a trash bin now.

Obviously copyright infringement. Honestly, it's a miracle ALL her Olympics videos haven't been deleted. Both NBC and the IOC are notorious for their crackdowns.

I love that blood design!
I cannot pick my top five of Yuna's dresses and rank them. Just a few dresses I like without particular order.
Yuna's Homage to Korean dress. Competition version: the symbolism to asian water ink art, mountains and rivers... The show version which she also wore for Meditation, the floating style of calligraphy in her skirt resemble floating skating.
Yuna's halter style dress, Only Hope, Gershwin, Bond girl, Scheherezade and her red ArOI dress. All perfectly cutted to achieve the best visional proprotion.
Adios Nonino, its overall design, color and material and how all of that together showed in motion, always reminds me of Chinese QiPao. very humble and oriental yet elegant and strong within, which make it a bold and unique choice. She was doing an unique piece of Tango yet also mixed in a touch of her asian root and character through her dress that is in tune with what she wanna express in that performance.
Yuna's Les Mis dress for choice or color and sleeve design, SITC dress for choice of color and its meaning, tribute etc.
Yuna's pink show dress in her farewell show. for it is being PINK.:p Yuna's last dress is a pink dress :o:

one thing about Yuna's dress is that you have to appreciate it fully in motion. Such as the blood in her KoV dress, the little white lark tail in her lark dress, and her SITC dress.

Um for me...

5. Gershwin Piano Concerto
4. Adios Nonino
3. Homage to Korea
2. Kiss of the Vampire
1. Imagine
Going into 6th and 7th are Les Miserables and The Lark Ascending. For Les Mis, I really liked the design and the unique color but my top 5 were more superior in those two things. For Lark Ascending, the color is very nice but the design itself seemed a bit plain and even a bit uncomfortable.

I also have a least favorite: her Miss Saigon dress. She had two dresses for that program. One was bad and one was okay but not amazing. I didn't really like them.

I think Roxanne program itself is often underrated as well. I keep forgetting she set a WR on her senior debut performing to Roxanne WITH tape around her back. Kinda wished she would recycle this program, but I'm glad she didn't because Kiss of the Vampire is just as magnificent (also underrated).

from the Carolina-thread posted by alchemei, this is an asian broadcast of the olympic programms of Mao, Yulia, Carolina, Adelina and Yuna. It's become my favourite broadcast version, because the camera angeles are all sooo good! It really shows the maximum of the programs :)

Thanks for enjoying the link! After all, it's so hard to find these broadcasts on Youtube, due to the name of the videos (I have no idea about any Asian language :laugh2:). I had to watch a lot of figure skating vids before it appaered among recommended videos.

I can totally relate! Thanks to wikipedia I can at least search for the skater's names in another language, but that's pretty much it

up to yesterday I always found yuna's adios to be a little subdued, but since I've seen this new camera angle adios has become one of my favourite programms from her, ranking only behind 'les Mis' and 'Tango de Roxanne' :cheer:

It also really features Carolina's SS. It's one of the rare videos that captures her blade control.
