WOW, Yuna won the Sportswoman of the Year Award by Women Sports Foundation!!!

What a great tribute, and well-deserved. I think they look for athleteses who are not just outstanding in their sport, but also an inspiration and role model to girls everywhere.

Michelle won this award in 1998 and Sarah Hughes in 2002. Speed skater Bonnie Blaire won twice, in 1994 and 1995. Michelle also won the Billie Jean King award from this organization a couple of years ago.

Yu-na is the perfect spokesperson and "international face of figure skating." :love:

Debi Thomas was the first figure skater to win back in 1986.

According to what she said today,

1) There will be no ice shows until Worlds.
2) She is doing her best with her new coach and will start new SP soon.
3) "I am searching for the ways how to do better details such as jumps, spins and steps in the programs."

It's refreshing to hear her directly say about some technical elements.:yay:

He is Nick Folk. He plays for New York Jets of NFL and he is their place kicker. She is Laila Ali, daughter of the great Muhammad Ali, and herself was the women's middleweight champ in boxing.

^ They do! Although the camera angle, especially on the first one, makes Michelle's head look gigantic and her legs stubby. :)

Yeah, it does the same with Yu-na. though I've noticed most red carpet pictures in the US seem to be taken like that? Like in Korea, they try to take the pictures from a slightly low angle to emphasize the leg length.
