Don't be so sad, here are the video clips from a couple of news stations in S. Korea. Sorry about the absence of English subtitles, though. -_-;;

P.S. Once a Queen, always a Queen. That's our Yuna!!!:luv17::luv17::luv17::luv17:

Imagine if Adelina had come back, qualified, and they had a separate cam of Yuna just sitting there, watching her compete. Yuna is so calm, I wonder what she would look like if she were to throw shade.
New Chinese documentary: Finding the next Yuna Kim presented by Pang/Tong.

Throwing shade seems to be beneath Yuna. Let Adelina continue to think she deserved the Gold because she did Biellmann. :whack:

Or the 3Lze-3T<, two-footed 3F-2T-2L, StSq"4", or the loose free legs on any of her jumps.
(I like her, but I can't resist taking jabs, sometimes.)
It’s the highest honor bestowed during an Olympic opening ceremony. Every four years, a competitor from the host nation is chosen to light the Olympic cauldron, the climax of the entire ceremony. For the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, the athlete chosen was figure skater Yuna Kim, a hugely popular figure known in South Korea as “Queen Yuna.”

She is more than popular. A 救國英雄 many times.
I finally saw the HD version of the ceremony where Yuna's was visibly moved/tearing up while lighting up the cauldron. What a culmination of the journey she has had. What an enormous privilege to have been a witness to see her life fulfilment beyond her potentials, beyond medals.
There are gold medalists and lucky winners overtime in any profession/sport/industry, but it what do they with that power, prestige, honour and privilege really defines their character and gives perspective on life. How they make a difference to others. When you see the rare exceptional ones such as she, who some how ends up selflessly devote herself to the next generation, for her country and impart with what she can. She was an integral movement bringing the Olympic movement home, and both Korea stand united in the end. Amazing. I think or hope she will continue to inspire others to become a better version of themselves. An exceptional individual that can break down barriers beyond borders, cultures, languages and yet so young. I hope others will eventually realise that, beyond the sport. She is pure gold.
Yuna is 27. Wish her happiness and blessed luck find her next life long dream/goals/adventures whatever that may be, perhaps be a little more selfish, live a bit more for herself, away from expectations and prying eyes of others/media/fans. She truly deserves all the good things in life.
