July is the most slow month for Yuzu news. So I'm going back to old videos and watching them while we wait for things to start up again. This is one I watched today, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1VT6iqs948&t=6s
Yuzu getting his first 4CC silver medal. He was the only one to successfully land a quad in this competition. How times have changed.
What videos have you been watching lately?

I was watching his CoC 2011 performances these days, sooo underscored :palmf:

Now that 2016/17 season is over, isn't it better to create 17/18 thread for Yuzu ?

I also find myself going back to that performance often. It was so beautiful, fluid and strong. :luv17:

Ah. That's why things weren't working the way I was expecting them to! We were both attempting to do the same thing at the same time!

I hope you don't mind, but I've just swapped the OP's of the 2 threads around. It's just so that we have the full post history on the OP of the open thread rather than on the OP of a closed thread.

All the best with this new thread

I hope so...but this looks like a recap of last year. But since they are showing Yuzu, it could mean they will include him again this time as well?

I thought so too as they are showing his video from last year, also it matches timing he has to be in Japan by August 15 for Yokohama seminar. As usually Cricket has 2 weeks holidays in late August it is very likely he will stay in Japan till the beginning of September, at least last days of August and do 24 h tv . Also as it is Olympic season and I think its possible he will do media day in Japan..

Yuzuru Hanyu: 2018-2019

The best thing about Yuzuru is: even in the off-season you have enough old videos and programmes to rewatch and explore. He's just like the Harry Potter series: even twenty years later you don't feel bored.

Alexei Mishin's nice worlds about Yuzuru: "So I think we shouldn’t panic [that there are no such strong male skaters in Russia now], but to understand that such unique creation of nature as Hanyu, whose magic combination of chromosomes has led to fantastic constitutional and moving capabilities, supplemented by tremendous capacity for work, are very rare".

I'm watching H&L at WC, OP from FaOI (cooool 4T with high kick!), interview in "Hodo station" after WTT because 4Lz is beautiful and I like him talking about 4A with curiosity, and many more
