Brian Orser of Canada was the first skater to land two triple Axel jumps in the same program (long program) at the world level (1987 World Figure Skating Championships), and the first to land three triple Axels in once competition (same event). He is is the 1984 and 1988 Olympic silver medalist, 1987 World champion, and eight-time (1981–88) Canadian national champion.
