Impressive and smart. Keeping it clean. Possibly the most repetitive music choice of all time.. But I suppose they are focusing on the technical aspects of their skating.

To be honest, I had expected something more from the Canadian pair (but I haven't watched the SP). They're a lot more mature than the other couples (they're also a bit older) and show that. They also show some nice steps and stuff, but I think they can do a lot better.

Watching Kirill's performance is like eating a good stew: It's fantastic right from the start, but it gets even better when you enjoy it a second time. (y) (y) (y)

Our junior pairs are not that strong at the moment. These two can do better, like you said. They landed the jumps at the Next Gen simulation, though the double throws and weak death spiral were the same there. This is basically their first real competition together though, since they teamed up only last year and we basically didn't have a season in Canada.

We do have another junior team, McIntosh/Mimar, who were showing a solid 3 twist, plus triple throws and 3T/2A sbs last season, plus other elements that were at least solid to good. But they only did doubles at simulation, and haven't been assigned a JGP yet. So they might be dealing with an injury or something.

What happened to the helpful countdown in the top corner to the end of ice resurfacing? :(
