I think her only problem is, how in the world is she going to top her Schindler's List program in the coming years?
But then I get excited because I know that she will and I can't wait to see how she does it
magical moment in Sochi...

I'm reviewing names and vids from thread on the other forum: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?89883-Anastasia-Gubanova-The-Next-Wonderbaby and I don't know if to be amazed by the rise of Russian Ladies FS Empire or worried about Julia's chances as her fan.hopefully fate will bless her with another chance. but jeez she will have some stiff competition from her fellow russians. next few years should be something to see...
Wow that's kind of sad to hear, but now that we know Adelina runs on anger, let's see her bring it with the huge jumps!

Julia has "IT" , she can capture public imagination all over the world, she's a great mixture of talent, character, look, her whole personality is just magic
Let me add that you don't have to even be fan of figure skating to sense all of above. Many people watching FS rarely or even only at Olympics say her performances are beautiful and touching.^Honestly, I agree. She is very, very memorable and she possesses a certain kind of aura that makes you want to watch her all the time. [...] Beyond that, when she skates you can just feel that there is something special about her, something that tugs at your heart and lets you see all the images she is trying to create.
I know this doesn't sound alright but I wish I had a child like her to pamper!!
I think, because she's so "pampered" in a sense, she must be feeling some sense of entitlement to whatever scores and achievements she receives, and she never really gets the message that she has to lay everything out there until she feels like she is abandoned or she has something to prove (like what happened in Sochi when she was left off the roster for the Team event). She doesn't act until everything is on the line and she's desperate.
Of course we also have to keep in mind the various specialists who worked with Adelina this year. The federation and the ministry of sports helped us with those. It was mainly thanks to them we had a well structured work where the gliding specialists, shape coaches, choreographers, masseur, doctor, nutritionist were working together... We couldn't even dream of that before, and, frankly, deep down I hope this collaboration will continue.First I didn't even understand how am I supposed to divide my skater between all those people. I had to become a coordinator as well. I guess it will sound silly, but it sounded like a good stable where the horse is groomed. Then they go to the race and their leather shines like silk. This was Adelina's state before the Olympics.
Unlike some from the “state-made” field, she never had influential patrons among the elite of the Russian skating federation. She never had special conditions for her Olympic preparation. She never got special advices from experts of sporting research institutions and she never had huge financial sources.
She was not sent to Broadway to improve acting skills and methods of impact on the audience. Moreover, she was often underestimated with points in favor of interests of those, who are usually called as influential persons in Russian skating.
Poor choice of words on my part. Abandoned in the sense that she was told she would be participating and then was promptly left off it entirely. Like I said, she had an entire team working with her not only during the Olympics but also this entire season. Certainly she wasn't abandoned by the federation -- but Adelina did not see it that way, though. The fact that she cried when she wasn't part of the roster is enough of an indication that she couldn't see she was actually being done a favor. If she'd gone to the Team event as well, there's a huge possibility that the hype will have gotten to her and it wouldn't have provided the same kind of motivation she had when she was struck off the list. hwell:
I understood your point, but tbh I'm not quite convinced about the story they were telling oh how and why they choose that team.
It made sense, giving the results, and the ladies individual were last event so they had more time to rest, but they could've chosen B&S for both SD&FD, if they wanted to "preserve" Yulia somehow. After all, she is 15 yrs of age.
Anyway, it's just my impression.
