If you could only listen to 10 artsists or composers for the rest of your life which ones would they be?

Uhhh, that's all I can think of. They're the only ones who consistently have good music.

Did you say only ten?

Non Classical:

Simon & Garfunkel
Don McLean
Joni Mitchell
Gordon Lightfoot
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
Joan Baez
Bob Dylan
Judy Collins
The Doors

Ps - I have to add Chopin to my classical list and Tom Petty, Billy Joel and Elton John to my non-classical list - I guess that puts me way over ten!

Hi Glacier,

Talk about eclectic taste! I love your list. And Ladskater's too.

I can hardly wait to see what eltamina adds.

I like this topic. Let me see:

Celine Dion
Faith Hill
The Carpenters
Helen Reddy
Barbara Streisand
Andrew Lloyd Weber
Rodgers and Hammerstein
: I know it's two people, but in my mind they are one. I love their musical collaborations, especially their musical Cinderella.
John Williams: He composed music for the Olympics among other things. I listen to his American Journey cd whenever I feel that four years is far too long to wait for the next Winter Games! You can listen to a clip of "Call of the Champions" at
http://www.johnwilliamscomposer.com/ just click on Music then the American Journey link. This was my favorite song from the 2002 Olympics; it's the "Citius, Altius, Fortius..." piece that was played during the medal ceremonies. It's a magically powerful piece of music.

If I go turn on my CD player and discover I've left out someone that I absolutely couldn't live without listening to, I'll just have to add them in later! Right now I'm only at eight, so I can still add two more of my favorites!:D

editted to add: Well, I haven't even made it away from my computer yet, and I already remembered two more.
Steven Curtis Chapman: Tonichelle's post reminded me!
St. Isidore's Choir: This church choir I sang in created a CD as a fundraiser for a choir trip this year, and I love to listen to it.
